At 7+ minutes long, feel free to skip watching & just read the headline. The commenter goes through more than one crazy person's posts/rants.

Will weird face and neck tatoos keep you from getting hired? Yes. Ditto face piercings.

Is that "fair"? Maybe not.

I'm not intending to start an argument about tats. You do you.

Although in some specific cases, like a SEAL tat, I get the binding ritual bit, but it's dumb to get a tattoo that blows your cover if it's seen by the terrorists you're trying to infiltrate.

And I understand that tats are all the cool kids thing now. When I was younger it was sailors, bikers, criminals, and sideshow attractions. Things change, grow up.

However...; )

Very obvious face tats, especially demons and other iconography that's counter culture, is an outward sign of exhibitionism and rebellious attitude, and I totally understand not wanting to hire a highly potentially divisive attention wh$%e. ( no disrespect for sex workers! Much better than Congresscritters! )

I'd like to think I can look past the obvious, and with acquaintances, knowing them over time, no problem. But hiring strange strangers?

And other tells you won't get the time & effort to consider you for a job include t-shirts with mass murderers, and demanding others remember your pronouns and praise your illness.

Once upon a time I had a jerk housemate who refused to get a haircut to get a job. His body, his choice, but, what about rent?

Now I know people with face, neck, & cleavage tats & piercings who are having trouble getting jobs...

I'm all for letting your freak flag fly.

But I'm also pragmatic and get a haircut and pretend to be normal to infiltrate a business, get hired, and exploit The Man in a mutually beneficial relationship.

Because, rent. Life costs. Money and labor. Or I die. Duh.

If it depend on me I would make it in to the law the only people who can legally be hired are the people with demonic tattoos on their faces.

Are you not aware that China would be the loser should they ban/censor any USA content more than they do now? Are you not aware that China's economy is more on the rocks than the USA's? Do you ever pull your head out of your butt long enough to absorb actual facts and comprehend them?
