Either admit you screwed up or stand your ground. A-B would have done MUCH better if they'd flat out said they were trying to broaden their customer base and "it's just trying to sell more beer. Grow up and grow a pair, or keep yours, we want everyone to enjoy our product". Honesty gets points. Boldness gets points. It's a strategy real Americans can respect. Then there's "Them". The lefty perpetual victim virtue signalling idiots. An apology of ANY kind shows weakness to the jackals. So the weasel words that didn't please sane Americans just inflamed their privilege more. Intolerant jerks of every kind can kiss my shiny metal... Oh, some mild amusement at A-B management totally not understanding their customers on both ends of the curve. But the lesson is, if you SHOULD apologise for something, make a sincere apology. IF you don't think you should, don't. And be bold and preferably funny about it. And IF the complaints are from lefties, no apology matters at all, so don't show fear to the mob. Mock them. If I was A-B marketing head, I'd have put up an entirely different attitude. American flags! "We love all our customers, straight, gay, whatever, we don't care as long as we can drink responsible in our great and tolerant country." I'm very glad I'm not still in chronic high level pain daily. ( thanks, and great job to my Ortho team! Who installed the Titanium knees. ) I was just one of millions affected by the push to blame doctors and Big Pharma for the opioid crisis. Cutting availability of pain meds to chronic sufferers. Personally, I don't like the effects of opioids so much I prefer bearable pain to taking effective drugs. ( and decades of martial arts and high impact sports gives me a skewed perspective on pain. I consider myself a wimp. ) But lots of people are in heavy chronic, daily pain, and getting relief can be a problem when addiction control efforts focus on tight controls on Doctors, while ignoring tons of drugs shipped through Mexican Cartels by the CCP, to prosecute their War of Narcoterrorism, against America. I can understand picking the low lying fruit, but it's not an effective targeting strategy if you are trying to reduce addiction. | ||
