You might well get a phone call from your Mother asking you to apologize publicly, since she's getting text messages of pictures of her house and polite suggestions she have a talk with her son/daughter. Well, go you! I'm sure that frantic phone call from a relative begging you to cave in to the CCP, will have zero effect on your intransigence. Come to think of it, I have some family, in laws, that might not influence my decisions.  Seriously, I admire the dedication. I didn't say it wouldn't affect me. I said it wouldn't work. I guess that makes me heartless. I've been accused of worse. Thing is, I don't have very many family members, and none I care enough about that would ask me to cave in. At least I don't think they would ask me to cave, they are as stubborn as I am. I have to admit, the chance of CCP agents getting a smooth domination of folk like us is unlikely. We aren't indoctrinated for submission like the Chinese victims and the Facebook generation. We are prone to asking questions of the police like, "That's my Hello Kitty aluminum Softball bat that my grand daughter gave me. I don't see the CCP wasting their time with me mainly because I'm not worth it. I'm just some dude in small town Arkansas with an opinion. Sure, it's vehemently anti CCP, but it doesn't carry much weight. I've been harping about the evils of the CCP for decades now, to very little avail. There are millions of Americans just like me, to target us one by one isn't practical. At least not yet. That will probably change. Then I guess I'll see just how adamant I can be... And why should they bother with us few willing to speak the truth? They are winning. The majority of U.S. Americans and the World in general doesn't give a shit. As long as they are able to buy cheap merchandise, and stick their head in the sand, all is good to them. Hell, far too many U.S. Americans are blind to the evils of socialism and the current Federal Government right here on our shores, getting them to wake up to China and give a flying f__k, is a pipe dream I know. I once wrote a song about CCP China. It had the lyrics: My Radio Flyer in now Chinese, they won't stop until we are on our knees. Corny sure, but accurate. Ah, I agree, we aren't in any personal danger from CCP secret police. But the subject was the Olympic athletes, who are. Nancy has made a large fortune off Chinese bribes/deals, there's a best selling book out. So she deserves full treason credit and full Authoritarian Elite discredit. And we may be not too distant from being under the direct thumb of the CCP as Social Credit Scores, and stuff like the IRS "we'll only communicate by facial recognition video calls", Hippa violation passports, and Bill Gates getting Biden to force you to buy the conspiracy theory chip. ( the first three are real, the fourth is a joke. You already bought the chip and camera and microphone that measures your heart beat and speech. ) But that's all wild speculation, it's not like the government can order your business shut down on the whim of a politician, right? Good point about the Olympic Athletes that are in harm's way. My thought is that they did it to themselves. They know or should know what CCP China is all about, they chose to go there and compete. Part of me thinks they are very brave, the other part of me says they are very foolish... In general I don't trust most people or places. I try not to put myself in bad positions where I can be easily harmed. I don't travel outside the U.S. at all, or Inside the U.S. much either. I don't go to seedy areas or engage in seedy activities. I keep mostly to myself and to a select few people. I guess that makes me boring, but that's better than dead... | ||

They did what to themselves? Trained for years to a peak that is Now. Nobody asked the athletes where they wanted the Olympics held. That's the decision of a known to be corrupt group of rich scum. You don't like their rule? You don't get to play. The football players can quit it they don't like the Superbowl venue too. No, the athletes have a choice of trying to represent their countries with pride and skill, or shovel pig shit in a prison camp ( if they are in Socialist lands ) or shovel shit for a living, ( if they live in "the west" ) Or, at best, teach children to ski, it they live in a country with many ski resorts that allows it's subjects outdoors. You might remember the Tokyo police helping an asylum seeking athlete escape from.his Dictator's secret police seeking to kidnap or murder him. That's half the planet by population. Subjects of brutal dictators. The athletes aren't the Bad Guys. That's the NBA. The Jamaican Bobsled team isn't given the choice of being rich and praising the CCP, or being banned from sports. ( like in the NBA ) And Elite Nancy who is Invested in the most murderous regime in history, may be motivated by her greed and Authoritarian lust, but it's bizarre that she actually said, against her Chinese Co owners best interests, the truth that the Regime that Sponsors her President* and her family fortune, are brutal thugs that will murder you and your family without a hint of remorse or thought of morality. The athletes can choose to let down their parents, their countries that may have supported them, choose to give up their dreams, their chances of wealth for being pictured on a cereal box, future careers, marriage to that girl they'll never meet, and pass on a chance to compete against The best in the world. Choices have consequences. If I dominate, it's the choice of others. Feel free to correct my errors in perception. Or my grammar. Or spelling. I'm not always right, and unlike Fauci or the Global Climate Cons or Lying Psaki, I admit it. To my shame I have not supported anyone on the internet. A hedonistic troll of selfish and epic proportions, no doubt! I do limit my politics to here, and try hard to avoid personal attacks. Our conflict here may be our slight difference of opinion on how effective Threats might be upon our personal actions or beliefs. Threats won't change my mind either.
