The commenter goes through more than one crazy person's posts/rants. Will weird face and neck tatoos keep you from getting hired? Yes. Ditto face piercings. Is that "fair"? Maybe not. I'm not intending to start an argument about tats. You do you. Although in some specific cases, like a SEAL tat, I get the binding ritual bit, but it's dumb to get a tattoo that blows your cover if it's seen by the terrorists you're trying to infiltrate. And I understand that tats are all the cool kids thing now. When I was younger it was sailors, bikers, criminals, and sideshow attractions. Things change, grow up. However...  Very obvious face tats, especially demons and other iconography that's counter culture, is an outward sign of exhibitionism and rebellious attitude, and I totally understand not wanting to hire a highly potentially divisive attention wh$%e. ( no disrespect for sex workers! Much better than Congresscritters! ) I'd like to think I can look past the obvious, and with acquaintances, knowing them over time, no problem. But hiring strange strangers? And other tells you won't get the time & effort to consider you for a job include t-shirts with mass murderers, and demanding others remember your pronouns and praise your illness. Once upon a time I had a jerk housemate who refused to get a haircut to get a job. His body, his choice, but, what about rent? Now I know people with face, neck, & cleavage tats & piercings who are having trouble getting jobs... | ||

In eight months the election will be over, and paid off politicians will go back to sucking Chinese Knob... Additionally there is the Constitutionality of the ban. It will go to court and inevitably be blocked by one of the Circus Courts for sure. Any real ban, again if it happens, is a long ways away. The only thing that would speed up the process that I can see is if an actual shooting war breaks out and an astute U.S. President uses wartime powers to shut it down in the U.S. BTW: You never answered my citizenship question... My former State Legislator was head of the drunk driving committee, and... Of course she got pulled over... You can guess. I seldom get the "Do you know who I Am?" line like police do all the time. The best answer I have is "Narcissist?" because that attitude is so toxic my initial reaction is quite rude and I don't want to be prosecuted. ( "Someone about to have their jaw broken" is a BAD answer to the question. Just for example. ) Never ever threaten. Laughing is better. Hurts more, too. | ||
