Example of government activity best stopped at its own shoreline. "That some segments within the U.S. government orchestrated the attack to reverse the declining American economy and its grips on the Middle East in order also to save the Zionist regime. The majority of the American people as well as other nations and politicians agree with this view." -- one of three 9/11 conspiracy theories presented by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a speech at the UN yesterday |

Six weeks before the election, President Obama couldn’t fill the ballroom at the Roosevelt Hotel, despite cheap tickets on offer. And then he was met by hecklers.
quote:Most of us low rollers arrived early to see President Obama up close and personal. Our tickets for the general reception at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York were only $100. Some thought the email invitation was a joke. Some bought tickets for $50 from their desperate Democratic committeeman.

At first when hearing zero I was all like" man this guy is smooth" but now when you've heard one speech you've heard them all. His mannerisms and expresions are replayed as well as his legend in his own mind personality. He is as good if not a little worse off the cuff as GWB. At least GWB seemed sincere and genuine even though he didn't always find the right words. |

See the Brokow/Rose clip. ( above..last page ) Many people were very pleased to see a clean articulate...blah blah blah.... guy running for office. After dealing with the Clintons for 8 years, Barack seemed like a breath of fresh air. He didn't have the baggage of a Rev. Jackson, spoke better english than most of Congress, ( what you get when you attend a top notch foreign school ) and had the ear of the unions that fund the D party. He told his base, the leftists and communists what he was up to, then turned to the middle after his canonization by the Party at the convention. All candidates want to seem middle of the road after the Primaries. True of both parties. If the media likes you, they won't call you on the difference between what you promised before and after the nomination. If they don't they will, and you look like a jerk. Lucky for Obama, they loved him, didn't care about his buddies, influences, or promises to get even with people who were evil rich. ( he now, thanks to a few good book deals, IS evil rich ) Obama was also lucky that the press and his followers, were able to push McCain as his opponent. I don't know who would have been a better choice to run against, and Barack still had to work for it, with the full support of the Press. Obama gives press conferences with his teleprompter. Anyone who could hack the thing would rule the country, and I don't think anyone would notice, if he used the right phrases, and was reasonably subtle. |

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/artic le/2010/09/21/AR2010092106706_pf.html "I want an exit strategy ... I can't lose the whole Democratic Party" I'm thinking Obama isn't going to deal well with what is coming. Any Ideas for dealing with Iran? |

The mindset of the leadership of Iran and the mindset of the leadership of Japan in WWII is not that dissimilar. I believe both were willing to throw every man, woman, and child at whatever enemy they perceive. Like WWII, we (and the world) must convince them that the price is too high and the objective they seek isn't worth the cost. In Japan, it took two mushroom clouds. Wonder how many it will take for Iran. I'm betting that Israel doesn't want to have this "conversation" again. EVER. |
