My reference to Reagan was about when Ghadaffi was waving his little sword and threatening our presence in the gulf...after that mouth breathing moron had the ball to send a few migs out to threaten the battle group (which were quickly dispatched by a single cap flight of F-14's by the way) Reagan sent a group of F-111 Aardvarks with iron bombs and leveled Ghadaffi's palace to show him that not only COULD we do it, but do it with OBSOLETE equipment....Mr. G has not since opened his pie hole and spouted any more $hit. The argument can be made that Iran dont need the reactor to produce materials for bombs, all they need to do is buy some from the disgruntled former "soviet republics"...that is most likely true. The point is, if SOMEBODY does not stand up..inside of two generations, all non nutcase mouth breathing knuckle draggers will be exterminated.....as surely as Hitler and his minions tried to kill all the jews.... I believe that the regime in Iran is responcible for a great deal of trouble in the region, I believe that they may aid the taliban, They have so much as said that they will destroy Isreal(sp) They(Iran) are a fundimentalist state. the motive there is domminance and oppression Much like hitler and ww2 germany hate mongering for Jews and the US is done to justify their actions, Obama is a shining example of how missguided the elliteists realy are, building a mosque any where around ground zero is an affront to me! As mayor bloomberg said there were several hundred in new york why there? He sees it as a security problem. So why there near ground zero, rememberence of the martyrs? It was islamic fundimentalists that flew the planes into the towers I'm not likely to forget ever, I believe in freedom of religion, up to the point that you become a threat to your fellow citizens. The biggest threat we face is STUPIDITY of our elected officials I see history repeating its self, as I understand it the crash of 29 did not bring about the depression but Democrats raising taxes on a weakened economy pushed it over the edge. in the early thirties. Me I'm Hoping for Change on the hill, especialy the witehouse. It will be interesting to see what happens with Iran, I wont be shocked if cityslicker is not right on his assertions about former russian bomb makers, and possibly sept 10 being a date to remember, I hope that some of those MK84 General Dynamics nuclear devices are still servicable we may need em..... We were having a party last night, and a couple showed up saying that they just heard on the radio that BO actually said the mosque "MUST" be built. I haven't verified this yet, but if true is proof positive that he really is tone deaf to the people that he "represents". | ||

Maybe this is the position Biden was talking about early on that wouldn't be popular but was the right thing to do. Almost as if the idea has been in the works for some time now. He is misguided, he is asserting that folks are guarnteed freedom of religion, and building the mosque is a symbol of that freedom freedom is guarnteed and we should protect it right up to the point that it presents a hazard or offence to the MAJORITY of the citizens of the community or country. It is not the perview of an elected few who see them selves as our keepers to decide this. I believe that in this case Mayor Bloomberg is correct, it presents a significant risk, the failed bombing of the WTC, (the garage) was orkestrated thru a mosque near by. I believe that all moslems are not supporters of the fundimentalists how can you be sure whats going on?, I'm with the mayor and likely most of the local citizens, its inappropriate. for a varitey of reasons. funny BO is worried about offending the moslems hello Grandad rounded up many of the citizens of Japaneese heritage in ww2, and put them in camps, we havent done that, to the arab / moslem population, better be paying attention to the Iranians they could use that mosque for their purposes, | ||

Doug, If I am not mistaken those are Arabic greetings among friends, it has no cultural sequitor here, it is a show of, friendship, family, and unity. Building a mosque at ground zero is simply a symbol of Islamic conquest. It was done in Jerusalem, it was done in Cordoba, Spain, and now it's being done in NY city.
