Ferris, I subscribe to the Chris Matty school of tire usage. AKA, USE IT ALL!!! I've ridden more than 100 miles with steel belts showing. Jim in Santa Barbara |

Don got a flat going through Rim Forest. But Al was Johnny on the spot with the repair. Finally at Camp Ocotillo. That night... the wind was so strong we had to anchor the tent to the wife's cage. Scott had the right idea... and the right equipment. Buelling Man begins Wait! What's this? Are you sure this is a good idea with the wind and all? Did anyone consult an expert? Yeah, you're right. That's wouldn't be any fun. Monster burnout! And the Buelling Man goes down in flames. Well, We didn't wake up under a sand dune. Ready to head out Sunday morning.

For a while now, I have been bucking for an "epic" ride. This past weekend certainly delivered. Thank you again to everyone involved with F.B.R.A.T. from the planning to the execution. Everybody I rode with I had a blast. Your friendship is priceless. Tom, special thanks to you for helping me right my bike and get it back on the road after my spill. Dino, sorry we didn't get to spend too much time together riding, but there is always Octoberfast. And my warmest thanks to you Ferris and you Denise for sharing your home and your hospitality with a bunch of road-weary riders. (in my best Cameron Frye voice) Ferris Bueller, you're my hero. |

Ferris, I think if you just sign your name that ought to just about wrap up this fun and photo-filled ride report. Jim in Santa Barbara |

Jim, Sort of looks like Buell has a winner on its hand, doesn't it. Gonna be hard to get an objective unbiased opinion out of Ferris tho. Epic advntures don't generate objective |

Hi Paul, Hmmm... I only got to spend a brief amount of time with Ferris on this adventure, and that time was near the end. But I believe Ferris was humbled and deeply touched by the outpouring of support and enthusiasm of all involved in this epic adventure. To the point of being nearly overwhelmed emotionally. Not to mention what may have happened to his liver! Nevertheless, I think Ferris will be very objective. Perhaps even brutally objective, for good or bad. I don't know Ferris as well as some of you do, but if you want my read he is a man of his word and he takes it seriously. I think he'll do a wonderful report. Meanwhile, back to business. YES! IMHO Buell has a WINNER on it's hands. I placed a deposit down on a Barricade Orange Uly myself. And NO, I have not ridden a Uly yet. But I will... That doesn't mean the bike is perfect (no bike is) or that it can't be improved upon. But Buell has come up with a very compelling product that appears to be well thought out, well targeted and fun! Now if I could just get one with a seat just an inch or so lower than the pre-production low version! Jim in Santa Barbara |

I have know Jerry almost 10 years now and have riden a few miles with this man (I should say behind this man, I could never keep up with him). He is a man of his word and will be very objective and unbiased in his report of the Uly. We all may be surprised in reading what he has to say. |
