I'm sorry but I have to agree with the masses here. The conduct of the anony, and that fact that it is wholeheartedly supported by the powers that be, for the first time has made me feel ashamed to be a BadWeb member. Believe me I've had many a person insult my personal work, it goes with the jobs that I do. The last thing that I would ever do is turn around an insult their person. That is just childish behavior, especially when you have access to empiracle (sp) data to back up your claims. | ||

Here's a question. What sort of info is given here that's so precious and secret than anybody has to remain Anon? All I read is... "that's inaccurate" "no, that's wrong" "sure that can happen" Where's the juice?? I haven't read one post by an Anon that's giving details that they'd get fired or repremainded for. Trojan basically called Anonymous a liar and in no tactful or respectful fashion. The whining here on Matt's behalf is likely embarrassing to him. One thing I know about Matt. He's no whiner. When he makes harsh statements toward others, he's not one to ever cry when met with similar harshness in return. I agree, both Matt and Anony could benefit from a semester or ten in the Court Canfield school of diplomacy. You've obviously not read a fair sampling of anonymous contributions on BadWeB, and your understand of the issue concerning contributions by some who may be in the know to a public forum is frighteningly poor. Good people have been fired for information that they have shared and that has ended up on BadWeB. The highly valuable information contributed anonymously here, purely, unselfishly for the benefit of Buell enthusiasts is legion. That you cannot grasp the need for anonymity is 100%, entirely irrelevant. You really shouldn't bother yourself over the issue. Nothing that you or anyone else has to say on the matter will change the BadWeB policy concerning anonymous contributions. I for one very much value and appreciate the trouble some folks go to in order to provide us with valuable information that might otherwise be tough to come by. Now, what did I do with my apron? Let's put this fire out with some gasoline... Why can't we have both? A "cosmetic" RSS (open flow-thru design) installed over the existing small one should, in theory, keep the OEM function while giving the balanced look most owners seem to prefer. Blake, nobody is saying Anon. posts useless info, at least I'm not. I read 1/2 of all those links and NOT 1 has info that couldn't be posted as a registered user. If somebody from Buell would have their own corner, like Court does, for Tech Questions..who'd argue that or call them liars? Does Buell/Harley have rules against employees posting EXACT info on enthusiast web sites? | ||

Blake, I respectfully ask you to get real. A statement was made that an aftermarket RSS will overcool the fuel rail. Trojan responded by saying that it "{wasn't} true", and didn't know how the factory came up with that excuse. An Anony then called Trojan a "freakin' troll", proceeded with the how dare you's and so forth. The bottom line is two-fold - a) An aftermarket RSS undercools the fuel rail, as outlined by the Ask Abe article posted in here twice now, proving Trojan to be CORRECT in stating than an RSS does NOT overcool the fuel rail. b) Trojans response to the issue was not to an Anony directly, while the Anony repsonse was directed at Trojan directly. On top of that, Trojan's post was LOADS more polite than the Anony post. Nobody in here is being whiney little girls. But the way you are acting about the anony post is sickening. We ALL appreciate thier input, but that doesn't mean they should be allowed to act as they please because they have feelings and have worked on these bikes or some other horseshit response. Did you ever think that maybe someone did research, found the opposite claims of BMC and then designed and built RSS's? I assure you that someone had to make those - they didn't dig them up out of the ground or something. It sounds like you would appreciate if an Anony shit in your living room. I forget the exact quote, but it's something to effect of, "He who doesn't stand up for others will stand alone". | ||

The quoted article states exactly the opposite: "it turns out that if this scoop has too big of an opening the airflow is not directed to the fuel rail as effectively". No single word of "overcooling". How would it be possible to overcool a fuel rail? I'm still waiting for answers. Naming members by their real name and insulting them hidden behind an anonymous account is no good habbit and I wonder why some custodians defend it.
