The are knight design drop pegs. Maybe its just the angle of the pic, but it doesn't look like they even installed the decals straight... |

Note that they did come up with a new mount for the pegs. The entire peg appears to be moved forward and down significantly. Note there is now a linkage in the shifting mechanism whereas the RX and SX have the shifter mounted directly to the shaft out of the transmission. Comparing the peg placement in the 2 photos immediately above, looks like the peg mount has been moved forward and downward maybe 2 inches each. The Knight pegs would drop your feet maybe another inch beyond that. Judging from the width of the chicken strips on the rear tire, the new peg placement doesn't appear to have hurt cornering clearance too badly. |

Man, the mirrors look identical to the ones on my '08 Uly! +1 on the oil cooler - that really needs to be relocated! Nice enough - but $22K!? |

The one thing people keep doing, which I can't understand, is comparing this bike to the Uly. IT IS NOT A ULY REPLACEMENT!!! This is more of an upgraded S3T than a Uly. It is a touring bike, not an offroad bike. I hate defending this ugly thing but wtf? (Message edited by Damnut on March 15, 2022) |

I wonder if the foot controls relocation came from the black lightening prototype? I see a lot of it in this bike, but maybe i'm just inventing stuff in my head.... (Message edited by cupcake_mike on March 15, 2022) |

They haven’t really said what it’s intended to be, but the rendering, which has been up for months, sure implied it would be comparable to a Uly, which isn’t really an off-road bike either. |

I would keep my Ulysses before I would take one of those 12 year old recycled Bullmatation for free. |

It's not the 12 year old tech that bothers me. Not one bit. It's the poor execution of this design. Perhaps the final product will be better. I'd love to know what Erik's vision of the AX was... That said, being without any motorcycle at the moment, I'd take one for free. |

I'd love to know what Erik's vision of the AX was... While there was an “1190AX” listed in some pre-production information that came out of EBR, the bike seems to have morphed into more of a middleweight, true dual sport adventure bike over the next few years. Some hints were dropped in a ~2015 Cycle World interview with an EBR project manager. He specifically said the AX would be an all-new design and would be a few years in the future. Former Cycle World writer and Buell & EBR Platform Manager Steve Anderson has also made some comments that back that up. Apparently a middleweight street bike design was nearly complete when EBR folded. I presume the AX would have been a variant of that platform. I’d assume LAP acquired that design, but it seems doubtful they currently have the staff to go from paper to metal with that. I sure would like to see it though… |

I got to see it in person earlier this month. Its....interesting. The headlight design needs to be addressed. The Buell Guys standing around made it clear and said it several times. "THIS IS A WORKING PROTOTYPE" and stating that the headlights / front end are not the final iteration. I went on the last Saturday of bike week so not sure if this was because they had just been made fun off all week on line or what. With out the Amazon hard bags and the flea market windshield on it, it looked better but still needs work. I always look for things that might be backwards compatible for my 1125CR. I noticed that they have some nice rear set drop peg setup that might be easy to move over. Same with the Pod/ Radiator design. That might be expensive but could be handy in the future if parts become an issue. Here are some pictures I took. https://photos.app.goo.gl/qwyXCextwwD8Y9pr6 |

Those look like Knight Design drop pegs. I just bought a set for my recently acquired XB9R, and they look identical. Later, EV |
