My K1200LT was inadvertently named by a friend of mine when I took it home. He came over and said he wanted to see my new "Space Shuttle." Being the geek that I am, I named it after the first working model of the shuttle. It never made it into space, but they tested the reentry capability by boosting it into the sky on the back of a Boeing 747. Yep. I named her "The Enterprise." |

People who think that naming their bikes is 'gay' are homo-phobes and may be a little on the whooo hoooo side them selves....

I've never named any car, truck or bike. I'm not opposed, but they just don't seem need one. |

I refer to my 87 Civic as "Rita". The name followed her from the PO. It seems to fit an ugly yet reliable vehicle too. |

Hey Spidey, "gay" doesn't always mean homo-sexual, the same way fag doesn't. Around here anyway. |

2002 XB9R with 49,500 miles on the clock. Her name? Betty . . . as in Betty of Archie and Jughead fame. Loyal, reliable, friendly and sexy all wrapped up in one. I've always dreamed of owning a Duc 998 so I could call her Veronica. : ^ ) |

I called my Concours Connie like a lot of Concours owners do. When I got the Firebolt, my girlfriend at the time decided the Buell should be Buella. The girl is gone, but I still have Connie and Buella. |

I was going with "Cap'n Scurvy" to begin with, since it seemed prone to hacking, coughing, and stuttering around, and I have skulls on my helmet. Now that most of the kinks have been worked out, I call it "Longrun", what with being A Lightning Long and all. ~SM |
