You know; an Amazon Green S2 with a Built motor would be a fun bike on some of those roads near the Undisclosed Location. Then again; so would an XB12P. Of course, you'd have to take a few photos of the bike... (Message edited by Crusty on April 10, 2018) (Message edited by Crusty on April 10, 2018) |

Dammit. That XLCR picture is making me want to resolve my '79XLH oil pump issues. Some time ago, I managed to round up mint set of 1979 sportster pipes and mufflers. They are the same as the XLCR only Chrome. |

You know, Nate that a 2 into 1 exhaust from a '78 looks pretty good on a '79 also.

'79 XL exhaust and XLCR exhaust are very similar. XLCR headers also had a wire Heat guard on the rear header, and an indent on the left side pipe to allow clearance for the rearward facing shifter. 1977 XLCR 48-State mufflers were smaller diameter than the Calif/Minn1978-79 large diameter mufflers. The large diameter mufflers were (like Natexlh1000 stated) the same as the '79 XL mufflers except for the plating. |

Dangit Ebeattch, I'm coveting those bikes!!! (Not the BSA's so much, I've no Whitworth tools nor the expertise, but they're schweet too.) One day I'd LOVE to have an S2 or S3T as nice as yours. When in the hayull are you gonna make it down to Southern Appalachia on one of those? Thanks for posting the pics! |

That '78 pipe looks pretty good. If I had known of it, I probably would have went that way. Doesn't interfere with the mentally-ill rear master cylinder location either. |

I'm digging the Groms, especially when you can mod and farkle the heck outta them- talk about a Deal's Gap tool!!! MC daily did a piece on the new Ninja 400- VERY interesting. If Yamaha built one of theirs to compete with that, OH YEAAHHH. http://www.motorcycledaily.com/2018/04/2018-kawasa ki-ninja-400-abs-md-ride-review/ |

I wonder how it compares to the ZRX1100? The ZRX1100 was in the running for "my next bike" back in 2000. No one offered test rides. (Except Buell!) |

Re: above XB: I like the exhaust. The forks...it appears that they've added the fork cover and headlight assembly to the unsprung portion of the fork in an attempt to make the conventional fork appear to be a girder. This is the opposite of performance. |
