What about triple clamps. I want something race/street. I saw Banks Performance for dirt. I haven't been able to find anybody else doing 37 mm clamps.

If your looking for clip-ons, there is a lot available. As far as replacing the top triple tree, there isnt anything that I know of.
What exactly are you looking for?

ok, looked around but didnt find the answer i was looking for. anyone know of something to be able to adjust the timing on the blast infanetly? some guys at the shop i work at had built one with a firebolt head and cams and vance and hines pipe. shaved the cylinder down to raise the compression. had almost a 40% increase in horse power. main problem was that they couldnt adjust the timing enough. it advanced to fast. they had one of the screaming eagle setups on it but it wasnt accomplishing the goal. so when you went to leave the line it bogged so much it would hardly go but once it got moving alittle it went nuts and ran like a raped ape, lol. i was just digging through the box of parts today since my female friend is looking at buying a blast and then i get to have my way with it lol.

No_Rice, Are you talking about a totally programmable ignition module? I haven't heard of one for the Blast, but any one for a Twin can be adapted.
They might have the wrong dipswitches selected on the ignition module-and not have it set up properly for a Blast (but that sounds far too easy). GearheadErikO's bike runs well with the Screaming Eagle ignition, and it has similar mods.
BTW, I wonder if it's just jetted real fat down low, and tht's what causing it to bog.

From what I read here recently (past 3 months?), Crane makes a programmer for the SE module and since the Blast & XL run the same SE ignition module it should work for both.

Also (again from what I've read here and heard elsewhere) that if they installed a carb with an accelerater pump, it tends to bog the blast.

While I'm inclined to think that the guys at your shop know what they're doing, I've learned over the past 4 years that when it comes to the blast, many dont! I dont think we've ever learned why though. Maybe the Blast is a little too simple and different.

"You can install the Screaming Eagle Ignition nose module. It is made
for Sportsters and the Buell Blast and available at any H-D dealers.
Turn it up at your own risk unless you have a Stage 3 Head. The short
stroke motor can run all day between 7 and 8K if you have done the
valve work. The module will also let you develop custom spark curves
beyond the ten they have already loaded. BTW to use custom curves you
need to buy the Crane software and cable, H-D S/E does not sell one.

yep, the screaming eagle one is in the box of parts i found for it. i know what you are saying about HD guys not really knowing buells. this particular guy though is one of the 50 in the u.s. that has reached the certification level he has. he is very smart and has been building everything with a motor for alot of years. he was the one doing most the work on it.

got me, it was before my time there but he is meticulous in his work. this thing was running almost 12 to 1 compression also though. you all are on the right page of thinking as far i have come up with. im just not sure what they couldnt get worked out. well thanks for the help anyway guys.

You mean the upper and lower that holds the front forks or do you mean cli-on handlebars that go on the forks - except for Crossroads.

It's going to be a custom Job. I'd call up someone like Banke or Crossroads, and see what they can do for ya.

What's the goal? Bling? I've never heard of race-street triple clamps.

If you want something radical and different, I'd just buy a whole new front end off a modern sportbike off Ebay and adapt it.

There are so many folks who will make custom adjustable tripleclamps - that I really didn't bother answering - not being rude, however, almost any motorcycle trade mag will have advertisers that do just that kind of thing - sorry about not answering that sooner - JC -

Happy St. Pats to you too! To all my friends! The Irish have a tradition of Blarney - when asked what that was by my girlfriend - I explained - the great poets of the world would compare thy beauty to the rose as Shakespeare does. The humble Irishman - gifted with Blarney would say - You are more beautiful than the angels, even God blushes with envy at the sight of his own creation, you are the reason stars hide behind clouds in shame and that flowers finally wilt in despare - for your beauty is beyond compare! For all my friends this holds true! (even though most of ya are uglier than sin! - lol)
Happy St. Pat.s Day to all of you!

Happy St Pats day to you all too!

As you can tell by the clock on the wall, I'm sitting here doing my favorite thing.

I am being entertained by The Little Kid(15yo) tonight and his little girl friend, I'm keepin' eye on 'em so we don't hafta explain to Grandpa Elvis why his grand daughter is in trouble! I trust teenagers to do exactly what teenagers do! Cause I know what I would do if I was a teenager.

Charming little girl with a high squeeky voice, her grandpa is an Elvis tribute artist.

LOL - Watching Dr. Who and drinking Corona with friends at home - yes - those are hyployd gear oils and have a sulfate type bufer which is harmfull to wires and any yellow type metals over a long period of time - like some bearing cases could be - etc - regular motor synths like 15/50 or 20/50 are the same viscosity and safe to use as well.

It got into the 40's yesterday, so I decided to go for a ride. I put about 60 miles on. I found a nice newly black-topped (last fall, obviously) county road that was completely deserted, so I decided to open it up a little bit. There was a steady uphill grade, but the bike really likes the cold, dry dense air this time of year. I layed down on the tank, and even though I was still going UP HILL, I bounced of the rev limiter! It wasn't just a 2% climb either - it was a pretty good rolling prairie style hill. I was really surprised to get the limiter so easy...

We still have quite a bit of loose sand on the roads and around here the frost heaves are like small mountains with deep crevasses between them. But I did get the bike out on Saturday for a short run. It was very cold but I was not really dressed very warmly. The bike needs a good cleaning. After sitting out in the garage for the last few months it needs attention. I am ready for the season can't wait. Hey Jim we have lots of great roads over here on the coast.

Looks like a lot of fun, and I'm sorry I didn't know about it sooner because I don't think I can make it on such short notice now.

I've already taken the entire last week in May off work and am planning a solo mini-tour around minnesota.

Neither the boss or the wife would be real excited about my taking a couple more days off in may and racking up 3 more hotel bills.

Have fun though.

I'm sure this has been asked a million times, but in my searches I can't find an answer.

Today I noticed oil leaking from the airbox. I'm not sure where's coming from, last fall I re-routed the crankcase breather out of the airbox as outlined on bcrider.com. After work I got home and checked the oil, full but not over full, and cleaned everything up and took it for a spin up the road. When I got back I took the airbox cover off, inside the cover had a coating of oil, and it all smelled like gas.

Any ideas what I've got going on here?

Thanks, Kevin

you got gas -lol-
Thats just blow back fuel spit from the carb, nothing to worry about, it's not oil.
