Some people have really screwed them up, huh? and they think they look good. There was an S1 on Craigs list here in Phoenix......We all called them up quickly to talk to them.......they had already dismantled it, taken the motor, the front forks, etc. to make a chopper/ bobber. I talked to them, and they were so excited about getting rid of the standard S1, and making what they called neat bikes....so disappointing..... |

They will never learn. Buell choppers are not worth what you put into them. Money pits, every one. Serves them right. |

Hoot - isnt that the rule for EVERY bike you mod? |

Nope. I've made money on every Big Twin I have ever customized. in several cases, large amounts of money. If you want to make money as a customizer - build Big Twins, and leave the Buells and Sportsters alone. |

"Hoot - isnt that the rule for EVERY bike you mod?" In general, yes. But butchering a Kawasaki that they made a million of doesn't bother me much. There's only so many tubers running around. So it brings me some dark pleasure to think that the butcher will have a hard time selling his victim. |

I don't see any tuber in that last one. That might not even be an XB engine. |

I would like to have a blast motor in an XB frame. enlarge the motor to maybe 550 or 600. |

Where are the radiators? |

The left side appears to have one if you follow the link. My guess is since it was set up for grass drag racing the owner don't care much about heat. That must be good for the motor... |

koz - considering race bikes only run for a VERY small amount of time, many dragbikes don't have radiators, extra weight for no good |

I dont know if i would call this ugly... i kind of like the lines of this, but to me its not executed right, with some work it would make a cool cruiser, just sad a buell had to die to build this. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Streetfighter-/321442502 175?pt=UK_Motorcycles&hash=item4ad777561f (Message edited by purpony on June 26, 2014) |

Actually that last one is still a Buell in name only. Notice the front mount is ditched and frame rails added all the way around the bottom and front of the motor. How does he get it out of the frame?? |

Forward controls and a raked front end??? No further review needed, it's UGLY! |

It's a bit bizarre having the rear wheel adjustable height section, with the need to add the somewhat out of place upper strengthening bar. I wonder if it was originally intended, or (custom frame) modified for drag racing. If so it's a rather interesting approach. Rocket in England |

Probably has to put the motor together in pieces to put it in the last one. |

Yeah. There is no front Iso bracket on the head. I guess it is supported from below. Maybe the front downtubes bolt into the Iso hole? Weird. |
