Performance Mods!: | Rhonda had a checkered past as a drag racer, and the former owner did her up right - Thunderstorm Heads and rockerboxes, 42mm Mikuni, 2.5" Supertrapp exhaust, American Sport Bike steering damper, all recalls done, Dyna Ignition, hotter cams, S2T bars. I added a Penske shock sprung for my weight, 2" drop pegs, and a 1 off custom shifter assembly. Veronica is the opposite- She was bought as found at 7200 miles, absolutely box stock. I've done the Don Casto fixes (Exhaust hanger, Primary chain adjuster), added a Works shock and recall hanger for same, and the 2001-up style shifter. |
Problems/Miles (Please be specific): | Rhonda has about 14,000 miles on her and mostly runs great, One thing, I'll say though. Great bike...worst factory luggage ever imagined. I wrap leather belts around the saddlebags when touring to keep the insides in. Veronica has just 7200 original miles, only problems are some scratches in the paint . She's mostly a stone reliable ride otherwise. She did develop a sticky carb float at 9000 miles that necessitated a carb rebuild. |
Other Mods/Misc/Customization.: | Various cosmetic and touring touches on Veronica. Veronica's backstory: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/47623/715670.html |
