The officer might be young on the job, but he handled that situation perfectly. Stayed calm, and kept her talking. Taking right into a possible conviction, a definite investigation, and the probable end of her career as DA. As a freaking lawyer, she should have known to just shut the F up. But her arrogance and the fact she looked and acted high, wouldn't allow her to do so. I have to wonder what a toxicology screen would reveal. | ||

Plus in High School I was in one of those rich white liberal extra credit programs where ignorant kids and Commie Teachers pretended to solve the problems of the Oppressed minorities by talking about what government programs those Ghetto People needed to uplift them into equality of outcome. I'm a bit shamed to admit it took exposure to the real thing and a few years to realize how racist the teachers were, and how badly they messed with the kid's heads. But by the time I got to college I'd figured out skin color and ethnicity wasn't a viable way to determine... Anything. But Culture sure was. And that was proven by years of direct contact with the public, rich and poor. I vividly remember training newbies in parts of the inner city police only show up in groups of 4 or more. "Watch out for that next house, welfare junkies, and an abused dangerous dog, see all the trash? Trip hazards." Asked the ethnicity ( in coarser terms ) "Cambodian. And over there, West Virginia prostitutes. The blue house. The Lincoln is their pimp's." Race is a divisive propaganda tool. But some Cultures just suck. But, next door to the junkies and prostitutes, were nice retired people, and the single mom next to them is trying hard to raise her kids right. You can't carpet bomb the evil out of the 'hood. True, I'm used to dealing with auto and motorcycle crash victims as first responder, where I hear actual cries of real pain of people hanging upside down in their flipped car. ( I WATCHED the crash in front of me as the driver panicked as she missed her exit, and instead of driving one mile to the next, slammed on her brakes and skidded into the ditch dividing the expressway, flipping her car. ) Or needing the jaws of life to extract them. Or lay on the ground moaning after the car hit them. And while luck and willingness to help means I've seen more of that than average, Most of my experience has been heat related or martial arts injuries, with a Very Different Culture than the playing victim drama queens. ( actual conversation with a fellow curled in pain after getting hit in the cup. To crowd, "Back up! Give him air!" kneeling next to, quietly to subject, " Those really hurt. Want to take a moment before straightening out? " his response in very quiet voice. "Yes, please"... ) I Know for a fact there are far worse injuries at the Calgary Stampede among the guys who just close gates and climb over railings. Very Different Culture. | ||
