If you want new or nearly new, start with the nearest dealer and ask if they have one. Then if they don't have one or can't/won't find one, work your way (geographically) out from there. I can guarantee there's a barely used 2009 blast at a dealer out there somewhere. Next would be eBay. I'm assuming since you want 2009, you want new or nearly new. There will be older barely used models out there too. Good luck and welcome! |

Cheaper, easier and better looking if you just buy (or trade for-EVERYBODY wants black) yellow body panels. You also won't have painted body panels you won't be able to give away when/if you sell your Blast. If there's a new or low mileage Blast still at a dealer it's because they can't get rid of it. A smooth negotiator can get it shipped for free to the Windy City Chicago Harley used to be a Buell dealer (at least they could get Buell parts, which could not be sold at Harley only dealers). New or low mileage Blasts are around and unless you can get to the dealer that sells it to haggle in person, they aren't likely to come down much on the price (and they will still try and sell you a Sportster, at least). If you're planning on keeping it, a new Blast is worth the money. If you just want something to learn on or abuse for a season, there are plenty of used deals around (however, prices wont get much higher than in this part of the riding season). |

Agreed....I think the best plan is to search the rest of this summer for a bargan...and plan to ride next summer |

Well, I hate to see anybody have to wait until next year to ride Are you looking for new or just late model? Almost every year Blast is identical and its (almost) impossible to tell the difference in model years. 99.99% of all parts are interchangeable, if not exactly the same. |
