Im new to the forum and i recently ran into some trouble with my blast. there is a knocking sound coming from the trany when the engine is running slightly above idle (also when im trying to maintain slow speeds around 15 mph) and it can also be heard at high rev. it had been shifting hard so i replaced the transfluid but the problem didnt go away. the bike didnt knock before i got it and im wondering if any one has an idea on how to fix this that doesnt involve taking the trany apart. |

to add to that the bike has a lot of roll resistance in first gear when the clutch is in and i dont feel like that it should be that way |

Welcome to Badweb! The primary chain is probably very loose and they are frequently neglected. Follow the guidelines here for adjustment as the repair manual will leave it too tight. Clutch drag in first gear, especially when cold, is 'normal' for any Sportster based engine/trans (which the Blast is). Some say it can be 'adjusted out', but thats a pointless endeavor for the obsessive compulsive only! |
