Cool pic chop! I was saying "chopper" for my friends bike when it is a 38 Harley UL with 50's style mods done to it, more like a bobber. Mostly stock with a few things taken off and some "custom" paint. |

How many choppers have you seen at the drags? I haven't seen a one. |

You need to go to more bike only drags Rick. I have been to 10 in the last 15 yrs. and see several every year. Not the long fork monstrosities like on American chopper, but choppers none the less. Who is on the bike? Prince Charles, Mick Jagger, I figure a Brit. (Message edited by Tom_B on May 20, 2005) |

The banners look American, but the phone number might be Brit. Hard to say.. |

Can you imagine trying to pull your feet up to that peg position in any race? |

The venue is Santa Pod circa 1984. The Chopper "ard ed hog" was thrown together on a butchers block kitchen table for a few English pounds. Triumph T120 one piece crank in a T110 pre-unit altenator crankcase. Morgo 750 conversion and E3134 cams with BTH racing mag and Mk 1 Amal concentric's she performed amazingly. Running on sidecar first and second gears it wheelied like a bastard most days but nothing in its day from an LC350 to a GPZ1100 could touch it in an 1/8th. Losing out in the quarter only - I recently found some old timing slips for her running low 12's. The rear fender sticker read "beware of Rocket blasts". Rocket |

Hey Rocket, Way Cool Trumpet! That's my idea of a chopper. I want to build a bobber/chopper one of these days. Yup, it'll be a rigid and pretty minimalist. I'd especially like the mill out of a Bonnie or Tiger. But I would take an EVO too. He He!
