Coming into the final here Hines is about to be involved in his 6th final round and in those finals he's 3-2. Schnitz on the other hand had only won one round in eliminations before today. This one's over at the hit because Hines can't wait. He's goes red and turns this into a very memorable day for Schnitz.

Too bad Hines jumped the tree. I missed the race on ESPN.

Yeah. It was amazing to see Ryan win with a 10.4 sec 77 mph run.

No use wearing out parts when the other guy is a little nervous.

I believe he had a transmission problem so shut off. Lucky for him Hines went red.

I was there, great racing! Got autographs from Hines, Schnits and Karen Stoffer who is a nice lady (hot too). I told her she should switch to a Buell, she said it kinda looked that way. I could hardly believe the reaction times when Hines & Tonglet squared off. Those boys sure have highly tuned nervous systems.

That's cool. The bike guys don't get as much fan attention as the car guys. Not sure if that's why, but they sure seem more appreciative.

A few years ago I was introduced to John Meyers and we chatted a little. Real nice guy. He then took me over to see his golfing buddy Scott Geoffrion (PS-Car) and we wound up having fries and cokes with the Wayne County guys (Alderman too) as well as bunch of guys like Joe Amatto, Don Prudohme, Ron Capps and Blaine Johnson.

I'll never forget that afternoon. I've never been invited into the pits at a NASCAR event. It certainly something different in NHRA pits. Meet the drivers and crew -0 every ticket is a pit pass!

Be sure to bring your ear plugs. It can get loud in there.
