El Rockeeto,

In case you missed it, I was in NO WAY trying to insinuate that any of the admirers of these bikes was in ANY WAY...well, you know...a "fag"..ahem. See my other post as to what I was saying. My apologies again for offending. That was not my intention.

As far as what I like, I like Buells, Harleys, and the un-affordable Confederate. Also Aprilias, and Duc's.

But don't let my verbal fart and politician-like apology detract from the thread. As you were everybody...I'll just sit here and watch the pictures.

SO.....

I started this thread because I was dissapointed to see a Buell chopped up into a bike that could have a 883 motor in it without anyone knowing/or caring otherwise. They killed a perfectly good sportbike to design a metal thing-a-ma-bob wierd bike.

I would have been much more in favor of the bike if the builder would have used an 883 motor and maybe the buell pieces from an already dead Buell.
It's sad to see all the design and other stuff Erik went through to get to the tube frame stage only to see the bikes end up like that... I have a feeling you won't see that happen to to many XB's though, chopper guys don't like computers....

I would love to jump on a confederate bike for a day. More if I could get rid of the ugly solo seat, I just cant handle the back eld being gone. I think throwing on a x1 tail section and chopping that or repositioning it so it lined up with everything else then I would wana own one I say.

You know I have always loved these guys and they dont get as much press as they deserve, they are building some fast v twins built to ride on crappy indiana roads or flat strips!! They KNOW!

Confederate, one beautiful bike. I wish I could afford one. Koz, I also hate to see a buell hacked up for chopper parts. I love buells for what they are, not what they can be chopped into. You can see the bikes I am working on are nothing special. Just an old honda and yamaha.

I am dying to build a chopper myself. I love the HARDCORE II bike. But I won't even sell my Buell to pay for a chopper much less canibalize it.

How is taking the motor out of a bike that will carve corners ans sticking it in a bike that won't an improvement?
Do we need to start a Buell preservation society? A Buell rescue team?

For the price of a cup of coffee a day you too can adopt a bike... like mine! send your money to Me! A Buell is a terrible thing to waste.

Jon I'm with you all the way on the Liberace thing. I wasn't offended in the least by your post. I felt it necessary to explain my tastes for the pics I posted because I too am in agreement with you about, ah eh....the fag playing the piano comment LOL. Nice!!! I just didn't want anyone thinking I'm a lightweight when it comes to custom bike tastes. Your comments prompted me.

Seems we share similar tastes in bikes too. I've said it before, I'd kill for a Hellcat. I already have the S1W and the 916. Yeah I know, I'm a lucky bastard. But then again I had to trade the ivory grand and the candelabra.

Don't be a stranger and just view the pretty pic's. We need your sense of humour on the BadWeB.

I know you guys like the Hellcat, but it looks like the spring would eat your thigh. OUCH! Maybe I should see it in person.

A few years back I got to demo ride a couple of Confederates - a Hellcat and the 2 seat one (American something or other) those things would rip yer arms out of their sockets! The new Hellcats look like they would handle better and the pegs are positioned better also. I had the chance to get one the other day, but the numbers the CA lotto picked somehow failed to match the ones I had on my ticket. Oh well, I'll keep dreamin'.

Here's a shot of the worlds ugliest "nightmare" Buell ALDiamondplate goes wrong

I dunno, first time I saw that hellcat, I thought buell tuber, just a big price difference, lay some CF on your tank etc. and pump it up to 88 cubes and viola. exhaust through the swingarm is pretty cool though. Now if they could just trim the fat.

I like the one Al posted. There's a lot of potential to make it look a lot better just by swopping the tank seat and pipe!

Fetch it round and I'll have a go

http://www.kilometre66.com/html/index.htm

Rummage around this site some. In one of the current motomags (Cycle World maybe?, saw it at the grocery store this morning while getting some lunch stuff and still waking up) they have a short article about an XL based SuperMoto and gave the kilometre66 web site address. Worth a quick newsstand read. I'd snag a pic but my French is rusty so I haven't found one on their site yet.

ah, found it here: http://www.planete-biker.com/sportster-supermoto.php

I wonder what it would take to convert the M2..... (backing away slowly before the flamethrowers get fired up) ; )

I actually kinda like the one lefty posted too! Lot of potential, and can probably be put back to stock if you kept the stock parts. Poor mans confederate maybe? Change the tank back to stock style? the one pushrod posted is beavis ugly

Whad'ya think of this one. The seat is 16" off the ground and has a nice little pointy apex to let you know when there's too much acceleration. The forks, brake rotors and engine are Buell. I don't know about everything else...

I like the 'motard' bike there. Wonder if it's a bike kit. Seem to remember someone on one of these boards mentioning they would be an importer of this. Used a YZ swingarm IIRC......

I've never been a fan of choppers. To me a bike that does nothing well is worthless.

Supermoto is awesome, though.

Cruising in a straight line?

Drag racing?

Showcasing imaginative and artful creations?

We have lots of shrubs and plants in our yard/garden for the only reason that we like the way they look.

Why get a tatoo?
