We had a great day yesterday, took both dogs to the 6 acre dog park in W. Knoxville yesterday. I'm making it an annual thing, in honor of Chloe's memory- it was a year since she passed, a HORRIBLE day for us. I'm surprised my GF and I got through the day with vary little sadness... and grateful for that.
Both dogs took to it well, not having been socialized much- the JR/Chihuahua mix did the best, he started to get more brave and adventurous... the Basenji just trotted around and checked everything/everyone out. NEVER bothered to take a full-speed run, dammit! Whod've thought I'd get a lazy Basenji...
Oh well. It really was a great day, weather and all!
My 3 dog curl (they slept like this all the time)All were rescued and are now all gone;
Mocha was saved from a back yard with no room for her, BeeJ was saved from an abusive female owner and was as connected to me as anything can be (as evident in her eyes), Eddie (Special Ed) walked into the SO's classroom and curled up at her feet when he was only 6 months old. He passed a few weeks ago. The house is now silent except for my Blue and Gold Macaw Oscar (who is still freaked out by the absence of dogs).

My "dogs"functional crew.....right to left, Got Riley first, from the pound, Dachshund/something, he's got the bark of a dog 4 times his size. Stubborn too. I guess it's a common Dachshund trait.
Got Sophie next. Rescue. Foxhound/something. I don't know what happened to her before we got her but she seemed to have a problem with men. It took a couple months before she would relax around me.
Duncan came next from family members splitting up. No idea what he is. Terrier/something. Literally doesn't let me out of his sight. Has an energy level off the charts.
A Bawl Mouth is a loud hound that sounds off while trailing. Look up Backwoods Blueticks Facebook page. Now Imagine the sounds you hear there at Painful levels with ear protection on lol Ask Me how I know lol Love those hounds great hunters pets and friends
You wanna see a pit with a big head? Sister-in-law's dog, Blaze. To give you some perspective, it's about the size of a basketball. STRONG dog. I was holding his collar one day and he decided he wanted to be on the other side of the room. The next thing I knew we were both on the other side of the room. (I'm about 170 lbs)
That's why I dig my 30# Basenji. Even at his size he's got serious traction and strength. Pulls me around the greenway whilst I roll on my skateboard, I'm 200#!
I've given up on getting pics up on BW from my end... every time I try to "resize" or whatever... FAIL. And I've tried every which way I can think of, just not the SUCCESSFUL way.
Buggles once took a forwarded email and got it done, to my continued shame...
Oh well. Maybe someday. I do enjoy the pics all youn's post up.
If you have a gmail account, there's an option for google+ that you can upload pics to and have them available. Then it's just adding the \imagelink {http: / /linkhere} tag to it.
86129squids, I've been uploading pics to a Facebook album which automatically resizes them. Then I download the resized version. Then I delete them from Facebook. Sometimes it doesn't compress them enough though. It sure would be nice if Microsoft Paint was better at doing it.
