Problems/Miles (Please be specific): | '08 Buell 1125R: 5/19/2008 (New): Surging below 3500 rpm is annoying and has existed since day 1. Attempts to make it "learn" have helped, but certainly not healed it. 2nd flash (1st re-flash) has had no effect. Over 1100 miles and no change from break-in. ANNOYING!! 2500 miles: Latest ECM re-flash has made the bike a WONDER to ride. Surging minimized to almost not noticeable. MPG is up at least 15%. I love my bike! 2/18/2010 Latest flash applied. What surging? Wow. Big difference, and mpg went up again by at least 10%. 4/30/2010 The dreaded rear turn signal failure occurred. Warranty. Rear tire replaced, 6000 miles on original. 5/15/2010: Dealer replaced turn signal under warranty. They replaced BOTH as a precaution while it was under warranty. Good dealer! 9/15/2010: Erik's racing ECM installed. Surging not really improved...yet. Am working with them to see if there's other issues. '09 V-Rod: New!! No issues, but after the last factory Buell flash on my 1125R, I notice the surging on the V-Rod! '92 RS1200: Bought "hurt" so I'll be making her better. '90 RS/RSS1200: Currently working to get it on the street after sitting for a long time with prior owners. '92 RSS: Originally titled as a '91, but that was an error. It's a '92. Missing the side panels, and has some signs of being dropped (bent swan-neck bar, bent brake linkages...nothing that can't be fixed/replaced. But finding parts...! |
Other Mods/Misc/Customization.: | 1125R: Dropped rider pegs, Buell tank bag, comfort seat, and saddle bags, Throttlemeister, Dark Horse Moto axle sliders. Buell heated handgrips, Crampbuster. De-noided (finally) at 8650 Miles. Have side fairings to install, but lacking a bellypan, they don't work for me...yet. Muscle: HD hard bags, windscreen, passenger backrest. '92 RS #76: S&S carb and intake. '90 RS #06: Buell-brand gauges (VS HD), Crane HE-1 ignition, dual coil, Mikuni HS40 carb, Hemi Design heads, Andrews V-4 cam, steering damper. An RS with RSS bodywork. '92 RSS #25: Previous mods by PO to make it a cafe' style will be evaluated and possibly restored to stock. Edelbrock carb/intake, cafe' type bodywork. '92 RS #89: Troy Lee Designs paint |
