I can only hope that thing is photoshopped.

And yes, sarcasm was the theme. However, as the article states, based on the selection criteria for the Peace Prize, which is laughable, he fits the bill perfectly for someone worthy of being bestowed with it.

it seems the only requirements for the prize are IDEAS. heck we all have ideas. Eric buell could make a prime candidate as well, he had IDEAS and actually put them to use and made something......

Rocketsprink: "Finally a person we don't have to be ashamed to call President"

Wolfridgerider: We haven't had one of those for a LONG time...
---------------------------

And we definitely still DON'T!! I am very ashamed to have him as our president. (For more than one reason, but this alone stands out to me: I am Polish)

If anyone deserves the NPP for one specific thing it would have to be G.H.B. for saving the people of Kuwait from the insane tyranny of Saddam Hussein. Also G.W.B. for keeping him under lock and key. Even while he (Saddam) was probing, spitting missles at our planes and scuds at Israel and we kept politically correct by not going to war and having the UN security council re-write new resolutions for which he would keep trying to defy for 12 long years. IMHO 9-11 was just last straw for "anyone" to F*k with the U.S.

Ahh, but now we have Mr. "Bawacko Bama" ....sigh,... now everybody is gonna F*k with the U.S. any which way they can.

Hes out doing his uncle joe factory tours and public stump grinding.
Those of you that have studied NEP and the Soviet Stalin era should see a convincing parallel.
Long Live the Change
Remember the October Revolution actually happened on November 7, that should be about the time the new Health Care bill hits his desk.
Funny how the pendulum has swung, sad that nobody is paying attention to it.

And now for your linguistic moment of levity
Ocama and O5ama are only one letter apart in the cyrillic alphabet... and you still never see them in the same room together.

and my favorite Bill Gates.... backwards and with a french nasal on the end of the first syllable. Satan Lib (Satan Alive) yep, Bill Gates is the AntiChrist.

Remember you heard it here first, please collect your tinfoil hats on the way out

Starting in Tennessee would be only slightly less advised than starting in Texas.

A Catholic Priest & a Rabbi are in adjoining seats on a cross country flight & get to discussing some of the points of contact between their two religions.
Eventually they reach the thorny subject of interdictions, & the Priest says in a conspiratorial tone,

"I know you're not supposed to eat any unclean meat, but have you ever?"

The Rabbi looks embarrassed & says "Well yes I have. And I know that your religion says you're not allowed to indulge in sexual practices, but, well, have you ever, you know...?"

The Priest shamefacedly admits that he has & they both fall silent.

After a few minutes the Rabbi turns to the Priest grinning & says,

"Better than pork though, isn't it?"

Hey y'all, I'd like to share my apologies for hijacking the thread--wasn't my intention, but it happened.

That said, I stick behind my contentions, and it's been an interesting discussion. It's been very cool to see where some are coming from, and pretty interesting to find out that I see eye to eye with a lot of folks in Central Tennessee. Someday Ft, I've gotta take you up on that lunch.

Back on topic, I've never read of or seen a 'ruler' come to power and with such enthusiasm for 'change' at any cost in a modern, western, first-world country. Historically however, it is curious that the process of a dictator coming to power in any sociological circumstance looks about the same, from Caesar to Marxism to who knows.

Reading that, I realize how fanatical I sound --I'm a little surprised that I am thinking all of this reading it now, but I am thinking it. I guess the true test will be in three or seven or eleven years, when we'll see how willing Mr. Obama is to give up power.

Oh yeah, back off-topic: by definition, a cult is defined as a following of devotees to a living spiritual leader. So you using the term is ironic, as I also don't buy into most of what you'd call American cult Christianity, which isn't really a cult at all; I do however believe in the risen and living incarnation of God in Christ as defined not by human doctrine or religious principal but in what I have found in what I believe to be the inspired word of God, so I guess I do in fact define myself as a member of a cult. How about that...
