I didn't find reference to this anywhere on these boards ... Years ago I bought a SEARS motorcycle lift for my Honda Goldwing ... never used it because I thought the Goldwing was pushing the lifts envelope ... almost 900 pounds of 'Wing. Can I lift the Blast on her muffler ... or will this damage the muffler ??? Best way to lift the Blast for service ??? | ||

I put a jack on the Y in front of the rear tire. I then throw a couple of web type tie downs over the rafters, and around the handle bars if I need to lift the front end. | ||

No, you should'nt leave your Blast jacked up for the winter by the exhaust. It is beefy enough to change tires though. Harbour Fright does sell a rear stand for $19-$49, depending on the sale and coupons available. *I wouldnt jack the Blast up by the headpipe though, just the muffler. | ||

Good question - supposedly yes, but then again - I have heard of cracked headers - I suspect from being too lean, but who knows? It is a heavy duty unit. I don't think the military could make it any more heavy duty - lol EZ | ||

It is not rigidly attached like on the XB series, I have done it alot, but I also have had headpipes and mufflers come apart too.....LOL It is a toss, but to get the rear wheel up I use two jackstands under the upside down "Y" of the foot peg brackets, and use rachet straps from the ceiling to lift from the handle bars to get the front up. |
