I know I was an early leader but I stopped at around 16000 3 years ago...the miles start back soon enough...if I don't decide to see what JET can do to/for my Blast. Turns out that they are like 2 miles from the new house. | ||

38,100! That's just awesome. You should roll into a buell dealer and try to make an appointment for the 40,000 mile scheduled service and see what they say. LOL naustin - 5,900 miles and cursing the snow. | ||

For a while, Loli's bike was up there - with like 25K about a year and a half ago. Health concerns have stopped her from riding - and mileage from accumulating. And this as we moved right into prime riding territory... Now I occasionally ride her Blast just to keep it happy. -Saro | ||

Mines only got 10k+  . Down for a year+ between the accident and being a dedicated race bike. Though when I rode it every day to work and elsewhere, at 10 miles round trip, that doesnt rack up the miles either. It should be in the running for most track miles and 1st place wins?  I wasnt in the saddle though, so maybe that doesnt count either.  | ||

EZ, I agree, Loli is a great rider. Ive ridden with her quite a few times, and Saro and I usually let her lead. The only time I go much faster than Loli is when I know the road and just want to get a lean on. | ||

2001 and she's got over 14/k I think we need to account for how many miles and what state you are in! LOL Those of us in freezin seasons rack em up maybe more in 4 months than those out in CA or warm climates in 12 months......LOL | ||

Ok most of the miles were put on by my wife in NY. She's moved on to a different bike, so I'll be racking up the miles on the Blast from now on. | ||

A mere 26K+ for me. Last winter I decided that riding in the snow was fun, but perhaps a bit more risky than I like. As long as I didn't lean, use the brakes, or the throttle, I did fine. | ||

Hopefully I will put some more miles on the Blast on Saturday as the temps climb to the unnaturally high level of 50 degrees. Joey - snow is bad, but at least the Blast can take a fall right? | ||

I am trying to catch up with ya'll. Just returned from a trip Florida to Maine and back. 4,414 miles the Blast now has 36,800 miles and counting.  | ||

Thanks Paul - gotta say I love this bike, amazing motor so far. BTW - how do you like the Corbin seat? I got one of the new Avon tires for rear before heading to Maine. On our return trip while pulling into a Harley Davidson shop I picked up a screw (my luck with new tires). My husband plugged it right there in the HD parking lot! I will let you know how this it wears. Happy Trails | ||

Hey, how about the Corbin seat? The stock seat on my 2003 is so soft that after about 20 minutes I swear I'm riding on rails. The 2006/7 standards seem to be significantly better. I need something firmer and perhaps taller. Any recommendations? | ||

The Corbin seat is miles better than either stock seat. Well worth the money when they were $250, but a little pricey at $350. I wouldnt do a long trip without one. FWIW the stock low seat is usually firmer but I've found that both stock low and high seats can range in degrees of firmness depending on year made and use. Corbin is still better! | ||

Another choice it to find a Stock seat on EBAY and send it to Sargent and have them work their magic on it | ||

Hey Maggie, Glad to hear about your tires seeming to work out. It is a real bummer when tire life can be measured in days with the Pirelli. I like the Corbin seat overall. It sort of concentrates pressure on the front outside edges after a few hours. It makes my legs sore about 6 inches below my butt. That may wear in with more miles (it only has 1500 on the seat). That was my only complaint after 12 hours on it in 2 days. They were hot days, too. If you get the Corbin and it doesn't want to fit, your rear frame section may be shifted. Mine was. It was frustrating with the seat, but the Ventura rack wouldn't fit until I unbolted the frame rails and made them even. Paul | ||

The '05 now has 40,045 miles and is heading to Daytona for Biketoberfest. Thinking about going out west this summer - what can I expect from the high altitude riding and the carb??? A little worried about the miles on the motor and the challenges of a long ride out west, but will never know unless I try. | ||

You should be fine - you probably running 45/175 jetting? You should shim the needle as well - the off the line difference is enjoyable - you should be fine - she's just humming along so far right? No smoke, no weird sounds right? Enjoy! GT - JBOTDS! EZ | ||

Maggie, what you can expect from the high altitude is that your Blast will seem very low on power. Once you get back down to sea level, the power will be back. If its still jetted stock you'll be fine and I dont think shimming the needle is appropriate in this case. Leave it alone unless you want to 'tune'the carb while on the road. |
