KustmKlssx: In reality, if it fit in the frame,which is doubtful, it would be good as a novelty only. It would likely come apart due to vibrations. For $1300 you could find a real frame and still afford some other necessities to put it together. My honest opinion. | ||

Tis a true point Gearhead. LoL I don't even know what I was thinking. This North Dakota cold is going to my head  . I am still searching vigilantly for a cheap or used Paughcho frame. I really want to do up an old school Blast chopper/bobber/boardtracker bike. My uncle has a barebones '53 Knucklehead hardtale with a jockey shift and it is still one of my favorite bikes of all time. Of course I'd have to Nallinize it first for the power and look  This is a pic of a bike I found. It was a Sportster-engined bike, but I love me my Photoshop so I got to work. I actually really love the look of this bike and think it would be a good Blast rendition. This bike is the reason I've been looking for a Paugcho frame as it is what this bike is.   | ||

Thanks for the info, i had done a search and had not found anything about finding neutral on a blast. When i pulled out of work for lunch it had no problems shifting into neutral... guess i may as well change the trans oil and adjust the clutch and primary before i have any problems. The bikes a 2004, has under 2k miles on it but you never know. | ||

Someone a few years back was making a kit to do just what you're looking for (with an Evo engine). I think it was a little ahead of its time though and I havent seen it in at least 10 years. | ||

hey everyone just checking in its been awhile, had a few changes, quit my job and I'm now back in school. I packed up my truck and my Blast and headed out to eastern Oregon (anyone out here?) and have been buried in the snow for several months now. Working on getting my knee back in shape and getting the Blast sorted (have some parts wants in the classifieds) but hopefully this summer I'll be back on 2 wheels. | ||

Thanks Ez its been a long while since I was on a bike, I managed to bang up my knees a couple of times (funny part was I was not on a bike)so I had sold off the old Blast. Picked up a new one last year, but then got busy with a move and never got to work on it. So I figure while I still have snow on the ground working on the bike will be a good distraction from school work. | ||

I had used some similar to those for awhile and they are a quite comfortable for me, but I eventually went to the low rise for a bit more comfort. Just make sure you get the bars with a larger ID as it stated for those bars hand guards won't work. | ||

I know that Buell discontinued the proseries exhaust for the blast,but does any one know where I can find one?The dual pipes and the nice thunder it makes is exactly what I'm looking for.I'm not too fond of the aluminum white brothers, and the D&D is O.K but to me nothing beats the proseries. | ||

E-bay or check around to dealers for old stock (try Appleton HD/Buell, a Badweb sponsor and they've gotten parts for me that were unobtainable. Unfortunately the guy to talk to is no longer there, but I heard the new guy is good). White Brothers is discontinued and unreliable anyway (in stock form-EZ)! I too like the Pro Series sound and look the best. Really good for setting off car alarms and not that loud either! | ||

Hand guards: unless you're really picky about looks, generic mx/dirt bike guards can work or cutting up some plastic oil containers for the really low budget look. | ||

I too like the Pro Series sound and look the best. Really good for setting off car alarms and not that loud either! ~~~~>Gearheaderiko Seconded...or thirded...or whatever. Aesthetically, nothing comes close to the Pro-Series, IMO, and the sound is not too harsh. ...it does sound a little like an overgrown lawnmower, but not in a bad way (more like, this lawnmower will chew you up and spit you out!). Installation was a little difficult for mine, but I'm not sure if that was due to the kit, my bike, or some error on my part. It was just hard getting everything to line up properly to get it all bolted down. It took two of us (and a lot of cursing). Good luck finding one! | ||

got another one for yall... just pulled the carb off to rejet it. pulled the vacume slide ass out and before i could stop it the thing poped out. i have all the pieces and know what and where they go execpt for the brass thing that looks like it goes between the plastic insert on the spring and the needle. is this the stock spacer you throw out when shimming? im using a dynojet kit and it does not show reusing the thing, just the new spring-plastic insert-shime-new needle with clip in 3rd slot. guess its lunch time anyway ill mod the air box then check back. | ||

Gbaz: Sounds like the brass piece that goes between the throttle cable bracket and top cover(screw spacer). Unless you have a picture? | ||

wierd thing about the dyno jet kit is the number sizes of the jet goes down as you need larger jets. mod intake and exhaust calls for a 155 stock calls for a 170.... called the support guys and the reason they say is that their jets are not numbered like everyone elses... makes cross ref kind of hard. i think this will be the last time i pony up the cash for one of their jet kits... o and the support guy was an ass | ||

Besides cost, thats the number one reason I (we) advocate just using stock carb parts. Using (non stock) jet kits makes it hard to compare data. For future reference there is a wide variety of 'stock' jets available as well as different needles and springs. | ||

Hey EZ, I picked up that stack from american sport bikes and was wondering. Will that thing fit in the stock air box? the oem one is a bit shorter. almost finished doing the mod to the air box and looking into what i need to do to put every thing back together. the rubber line comming from the valve in the gas tank should still be routed as stock? moving the oil breather while i have the tank off. Any advice on what to fix/change while i have the thing apart? thanks | ||
