Court, care to elaborate? I'm thinking a Blast motor in a Norton Commando frame (Blast motor/swingarm combo similar to Commando motor/trans/swingarm) with usd forks and real brakes. Big tank, low bars, rearsets...I get moist just thinking about it.

Actually for a rough its pretty sweet!

This is the ultimate Blast - and still is in my book the coolest way to go with a 44mag./720cc Kit or the whole hog 809cc!

Erik-

Thanks.

Next item...

The petcock on one of our Blasts needs to be swapped out. In the likeley event that the part is not in stock, is there an equivalent or identical part I can use?

EZ-

She is indeed! I haven't seen her smile so much in a long time. We've been up the Crest a couple of times and by the coast a couple of times. Her longest ride was on the order of 160 miles or so and she did alright.

We still need to moderate how much she rides - but this is sure better than nothing. And she didn't forget how to turn her bike. I'm always worried we may send her health backwards - and that's no good.

The leaky petcock is from my thrashed, tortured, unappreciated Blast I rescued a couple of years back from some schmuck just a couple of weeks before the first Blast ride. I'm loaning it to my nephew for a few weeks - or as long as he likes. It leaks when On, but not when Off or Reserve.

The backwards fender does look cool in that last chopper pic, but it probably does a better job of keeping mud & dirty water from being thrown up at the cylinder head and up under the tank when it's installed in the
OEM orientation.

My front fender has the arrow pointing so the longer side is in front of the fork and the shorter is behind. So the chopper pic is right and the white and blue bikes are wrong (if it mattered).

Oh year, the other Buells go transmission upgrades for '06, but not the Blast (even this year), and now the other Buells get Pirelli tires, but the Blast is stuck with the 'Lops. The white looks good though. I think I'm going to buy a set to Dye John Deere Green... maybe.

True, however, the XB12s in Black looks perfect. Also the John Deere look has been done - lol

Hey EZ you make me feel old when you organize the archives by year like that...I've been around so long that I predate the years.

I just noticed that the number that's stamped on my right-side case (just below the pulley) is NOT the same as the VIN. It doesn't even LOOK like a VIN - it's all numbers, without any letters mixed in.

The number on my left (just below the cylinder) IS the same as the VIN.

Has my right-side case been replaced, or is this normal?
