This is going to be really good. It always is when you get a bunch of Buell enthusiasts together. I like Court's idea of meeting at the landing for the Fast ferry across Lake Michigan. Where do I have to go to make reservations? |

Yeah, it would cost over $500.00 for Terri and I and the two bikes. I think we'll go the long way around; Mass. to Niagara(Terri's never seen the Falls) to Port Huron. Then up through the U.P. then down to Wisconsin. Should be a fun ride. |

If you want the FAST FERRY, you need to go here: http://www.lake-express.com/ The problem is, for cars its probably already full, bikes Im not sure how quickly it fills up. I can tell you one thing, I use it every year and its always been great but because its allot smaller than the Badger, I hear it can get a little rough at times. Ive only had good fast sailing. Half the time or less than it takes the Badger to cross the lake |

Ok guys, I guess I'm going to have to let the cat out of the bag here. I have waited until now hoping that Buell would announce their schedule first. If it helps, I know that Buell has been working with eight different hotels for blocks of rooms and special rates for the homecoming. I do not know which hotels or the rates but that should be announced this week. As far as their plans for Road America, they have been hampered by the construction at the track. The original plans for the weekend were scrapped and new ones were just approved about a week ago. I know that the demo fleet will be at the track on Saturday and Buell will have a hospitality area as well. Again, they should be announcing everything this week. Ok, now for the good stuff. Here's what we have planned at Hal's: Wednesday, July 4th Kettle Moraine HOG & Brew City Thunder Bikes to ride in New Berlin 4th of July Parade. We will be joined by Team Extreme Street Stunts who will also perform two additional shows at Malone Park after the Parade. Location: New Berlin, WI, on National Ave. between Cofey Rd. and Casper Dr. Time: 1:00 p.m. (stagging at 12:00 noon). Theme: A Salute to New Berlin's Veterans The parade ride is open so if you have a Harley or a Buell please join us. Call or email me for details Thursday, July 5th Team Extreme Street Stunts will perform three shows throughout the day at Hal's. Show times are still pending. Hal's V.I.P. Welcome at Great Lakes Drag Way during Buell Bike Night Hal's and Brew City Thunder Bikes will host a ride to and a V.I.P. Welcome at Great Lakes Drag Way. Come into Hal's and register for $5.00. All those who register and ride with us from Hal's will get into the Drag Way for free (that's a savings of $12.00). The registration will cover a V.I.P. tent at the track, food (yes, there will be Brats) and entertainment. If you have ever wanted to try drag racing this will be your chance. Union Grove will have "Fun Runs" for $25 and they are also working on some Buell Bracket races. If you can't make it to Hal's but want to see the races that night, anyone coming to the track on a Buell will be given a reduced entrance fee. The ride will leave Hal's at around 4:00 p.m. but may be earlier depending on the route and the number of riders we have. Stay tuned for further details about the dates of registration. If you are from out of the area, Hal's will be taking registration by phone. A special thanks to Nancy Birkenstock, Scotty from "Lil" Scotty's Customs and MaryLou Funk at Union Grove Drag Way for making this possible. Friday, July 6th Hal's will lead a ride from our parking lot to Buell Mfg. in East Troy, Wi. for Technical Seminars and Factory Tours. Tours start at 9:00a.m. and go until 2:00 p.m. We will be taking the "back-roads" to Buell so the ride will leave promptly at 8:30 a.m. We should stage for the ride starting at 7:30 a.m. but not sure yet. Further details about the events that day at Buell should be posted this week on Buell's website. Sat. & Sun., July 7th & 8th A.S.R.A., C.C.S and MotoST races at Road America, Elkhart Lake, WI. Special 2-day passes will be available at Buell Mfg. on Friday, July 6th. All details about Buell events at the tack should be announced this week. A number of us from Brew City Thunder Bikes will be attending the races that weekend to cheer on Dan Bilansky, 2006 A.S.R.A. Thunderbike National Champion, Shawn Higbee, Richie Morris Racing and the James Gang Racing Team. We currently do not have formal ride plans to the track but we are working on something. Stay tuned for further details. Hal's Exclusive "Crew Member for a Day" Hal's is pleased to announce that two lucky Buell owners will be chosen from a drawing on Saturday, July 7th, to serve as "Honorary Crew Members" for the James Gang Racing and Richie Morris Racing teams during the MotoST Endurance race on Sunday, July 8th at Road America. The winners will receive Crew Member Credentials for Sunday's race and a crew member shirt from their respective team. To enter you must be a Buell Owner and you must register at Hal's H-D/Buell between 8:00 a.m. July 5th and 12:00 noon on Saturday, July 7th. The lucky winners will be an active part of the crew but will not be going "over the wall". For further details about the drawing and the rules please visit Hal's website in the coming weeks. A special thanks to team owners Paul James and Richie Morris; Dan Bilansky and especially Mike "CoolIce" Kirkpatrick for making this event possible. So, what do you think? Is that enough to do for you guys? I'm looking forward to meeting as many of you that can make it to homecoming. Hopefully, I will have my new toy ready by then-I just bought a leftover 2004 XB12S that I am modifying a little. Stay tuned for those details. Let me know what you guys think. As Steve mentioned, if Buell does not get the hotel thing under control soon, B.C.T.B. will. Thanks BudC |

Bud; Thank You! This is going to be Great! Now, I'm really getting Enthused! I couldn't make Daytona and March Badness this year, and I was feeling kind of deprived. Now, I see that it's a classic case of "Good Things Come To Those Who Wait". You guys are definitely a Class Act! |

Thanx Bud! You have me thinking about going to homecoming again. All of the Buellers I know here have given up and say well maybe next year. For future reference (not you, Bud) 1.) most people need to give up to three months notice for time off and it's first come first served - so if one has to wait `till three months and one week beforehand to request time off on a holiday weekend SOMEONE ELSE HAS ALREADY REQUESTED AND RECEIVED IT. 2.) Holiday week(end) events only work for people LOCAL to the event. 3.) Most people with family's have yearly plans for the Fourth of July. 4.) Road travel on holiday week(end)s is generally more hazardous than other times. So - it would seem that the timing of Homecoming `07 is designed to favour anti-social, single, un or under employed persons with a death wish. Explains why I want to go... Let make sure we're heard by the factory people this year. John Flickenger<sp?>(Buell CEO) is a very approachable guy. Lets make sure we tell our concerns for the success of future homecoming events. Buell being this late in the game is nothing short of embarrassing on their part IMHO. Weren't we told that after BRAG was being handed off to Buell, things would run smoother? I don't see that happening at this point. Now, a little birdie already told me, the 25th is already being planned. But, I'm not expecting them to come out with news until, well, this time next year |

Crusty, I've got a gallon or two of the good stuff(Vermont grade A Fancy IIRC) here as well. No reason for you to have to cart it all the way here. My sister delivered it personally, since her friend makes the stuff right outside of Newport, VT. OZ, we're already gonna miss Bomber. Don't make us come out there and drag your ass back here |

BUD FOR PRESIDENT Now we're talking reason for a cross country ride! I see only 2 things missing. . . 1) Pancakes - where to the pancakes come into play? 2) Bomber & RT - If you've only seen the "Jim's" (JB2 and FMJH) drink . . .whey they are young amateurs. If you are coming to Homecoming you have to see what RT and Bomber can do a a reasonably good bottle of scotch. I'm thinking of an event where we duct tape each of them to a bar stool. Set a bottle of quality booze in the center of the bar with a single straw and have a "hop to the center" contest. If you are under 35 watching these guys could stunt your growth. I've gotta say . . . I've been going to Homecoming since the RR-1200 was a rumor and Bud and the Team at Hal's have this thing NAILED . . great job! Court |

Here, check this place out. Select Burlington, Wisconsin then look at the map that comes up. NOTICE THE LOCATION, close to Racine, Union Grove (drag strip) and East Troy, and New Berlin (Hals). REAL nice place to eat right across the street. http://www.americinn.com/search_results.aspx |

chuckle -- COurt, it was really the other way round -- that sweet young thing zixated on a couple of burnouts and hung on for the foto op -- of course, THEN she found out that it wasn't an historical re-enactment of the "Beginning of Motorcycles," and she beat feet right quick wouldn't even listen to the war stories -- durned kids! |
