I'd have one of the new Nortons. I know they're not out yet, but I like what I just read about the Test Mule in Cycle World. My scanning skills aren't much but you get the idea. Oh, and they got the name, they don't have to call themselves Norton-America any more.

I really like that bike. It looks awesome. The first bike to light my fires since 97/98. If it goes into production and IF I can afford one I will have one. Shame it isn't built here in the UK. Steve www.ukbeg.com steve_s@ukbeg.com |

P. B. Yeah, you can get one for sure. Only thing is the maintenance costs are sure to be HIGH. How much? you ask?... How much do you have??? In the words of Jerry and the Boys..."heavenly to look upon, heaven to touch, It's a real shame they have to cost so much." Pretty bike too. Stubby |

sorry but if I could have a second it would be a toss up between a 98 NC35R and a 03 Street Tracker SR with the SR getting serious leanings (it's a thumper thing) |

My Cyclone for touring & a Black Lightning for commuting? Still be a bad weather theme. Seriously. I may have need next year for a bike with greater mass carrying capacity. At 240lbs I already nearly max out the Cyclone, & limit my riders to 120lbs or so. If I need 500+ lbs capacity, what's the best sport touring pig out there? (used). (I'm keeping the M2!) |

The only thing I don't like about the Vincent is that I don't care for Hondas. |

Aesquire, If you are not particular to brand, the Triumph Trophy 1200 is an aewsome full on sport tour machine. More baggage space than a dresser, and freeway speeds in FIRST gear (WOT). Mine was loaded to the gills b4 it went down. CD-changer in the trunk, electronic cruise, heated grips, full fairing, the works. Almost 20k miles in the year-and-a-half I had it, and never a problem. By the way, i'm a stout 225 lbs., and the wife is 130 (give or take), with luggage we probably had over 400 lbs. loaded on the 'umph. Would still pull away from most....when the need arose. |

Yep, the new Norton is very cooooool....I would love to have one too. originally they were around 25,000 dollars, but I talked with the guys at Laguna Seca and they said that they thought they might sell for around 13,000 dollars....getting a little more closer to my budget.....I love that bike. I have always loved the look of the norton twins motor...slightly tilted forward, and I love twins......and the flattrack, cafe racer look is great too......It would sure be specialized, and not a ride everywhere bike, but the black one is very good looking...they didn't know at laguna seca who the bay area dealer was going to be...we will see..........REX |

that heat shield on the rear pipe looks familiar.
The air-cooled argument can continue, but Buell needs a motor like that. In the RC51, they were running 1-2-3 the other weekend at Barber, 'til 3 took out 2. I understand Honda's going IL4 in Superbike next year. Maybe they could spare some of those 'old' motors.

My daily dilemma, which bike do I ride today? And I do mean daily as I ride one of them every day for work here in San Diego. Not just to and from work, I actually ride around all day fixing computers for Sprint and they give me a paycheck on top of it.} |
