Maybe it's a Buell/HD built air-cooled V-twin built to Buell specs. That could explain why the HD powerplant engineers were too busy to design the 1125R engine.

Don't miss the next book. The current one must be selling better than expected. Amazon told me they couldn't get enough. I'm out of town and waiting on mail forwarding, so I don't know if I need to find another source yet. |

The book was waiting for me when I got home. I really liked the 20 year old 1125R |

Well I will say that the description Dana gave me yesterday sounds like his keen eyes spotted a genuine 2009 Buell. Like he said . . when you are used to seeing so many Buells and see one blow by with a MFG plate it catches your eye . . . on the other hand, he may have fallen victim to one of my old tricks of using certain colors that fool the eyes and a package of Honda dirt bike stickers.

"and see one blow by with a MFG plate it catches your eye" So If you've ever ridden with Dana, you'd know this bit of info leaves a new B;ast type bike out of the picture....BRING ON THE NEW "S". |

Yeah the Blast didnt get the new engine lower like all the XB's. I was thinking they might do that this year, and push it closer to the XB5 I think a lot of those clubman bars will be finding their way onto Blasts |

Hi my name is Brian, aka CityXSlicker and I am a Dirtaholic. I just cant get enough dirt. Sometimes I even sneak out in the middle of the night during a full moon, just to ride in the dirt. And after a rain storm, there is nothing better than the puddles. I know I have an addiction, but what I really need is a bike that enables me to over come my handicap and really ENJOY the MUD to its fullest extent. Its going to be a long winter. |

What Brian said! For mercys sake, I am reduced to riding (and repairing, and repairing, and repairing) a 1985 KLR-250! Look what you have reduced me too, Harley corporate! How could you! (*Whimper*). Oh the indignity of it all. Good thing this XB9SX (with 2x the miles on the Kawasaki thank you very much) is running so well, it is racking up the miles getting Kawasaki parts and repair tools. |

Thanks Krassh I want one of those so bad. I've got a friend who has one. That thing is ridiculous. I've come close to buying one a few times times but always talk myself out of it. I'd kill myself on it in short order. |

Better grab one while you can as they are not in the 2009 lineup. It is a monster but I love it. This thing loves the twisties on pavement even with the knobbies. I sold my 2002 KTM520EXC that was plated to get this one. |

My rumour is a 600cc to ~920cc Liquid cooled Buell for 2010 with interchangeable fairings for street and race! May it come true. I really hope buell makes a lower displacement 1125CR with smaller pods. Like a 800 to 920cc version. The 1125R seemed grossly innapropriate for the street to me. I don't know what the CR will be like, but if it's close, it's too much I'd even settle for 1/2 engine a 600cc version, but it'd be a toss up between that and the Triumph Speed Triple/Daytona 675. Anon, I'm getting another bike soon. I'd love it to be a Buell, but it looks like it'll be a Triumph! |

Thanks Krassh, I have already said that Buell failing to deliver the dirt bike, would force me to go to KTM or build my own.... I am working on building my own. The KTM is sweet, and in orange. they get dirt. |

I think the next crashed 1125R that comes across would make a fine donor engine for a Buell V-Twin Dirt Bike.

Yes it would. My 100hp Super Enduro is a hand full. Gear it right and with that 1125 flat torque curve it would pull like a tractor! |

360 pounds on the dirt? Still lighter then a KLR-650 or XR-650 |

The 690SM's are nice. I thought of getting some 17 inch wheels for my Super Enduro so I would have the best of both worlds but bought the 1125R instead. |
