I met up with someone who happened to work at Barry Controls. She took me and a friend on a tour of the factory. We saw many wonderful things.
Near the end of the tour, friend of hers gave me two new isolators!

These are the correct ones for the front of a tuber.

Here is the cool thing:
They reformulated the rubber compound to make it stronger.

I just changed my isolator so I don't really want to go in there again so is there anyone in the area that needs one?
Preferably someone that will ride the crap out of it and report back on how it's working out?

I'm about to install the FOURTH front isolator now (8K miles on bike), and would be very interested in seeing the part updated. I'll pay for shipping if you would like me to test one in the CO mountains? Please?

If somebody uses it, please let us now how it turns out.

I just installed one of the J&P Cycle ~$20 ones on my tuber a couple of weeks ago (see thread in the KV). So far, so good. I'll update the thread on how it works out.

Sorry about the "radio silence".
I was working too many hours.
I had my X1 with fresh tires sitting still in the middle of summer for two weeks!

Anyways, I would be happy to send them along. How do we work this?

Nate,

Is Barry Controls the manufacturer for the factory isolators?

God I'm sorry.
I lost them for a bit but I found them.

Send me your address and I'll send them out ground UPS, OK?

Yep, ground UPS is OK. Sent a PM with my address - do you get those emails?

I'm running one of the J$P aftermarket ones now since the HD/Buell parts keep tearing. I'll be sure to write up a review of the three.

Thanks!
