IIRC, Al @ American Sport Bike has a good repack kit...

The American Sport Bike kit specifies one for V&H, and one for the Buell Race Muffler, since they got that specific but didn't mention the Supertrapp, I assumed it was different. I will post this message on the Al forum.

It's not clear to me whether there's supposed to be packing stuff filling the space between the core and the outer body, mine is hollow in there. Looks like it would be a lot quieter if that was all stuffed with stuff. But the stock muffler isn't stuffed at all, just tubes going back and forth, and it's plenty (too) quiet.

I don't know what the inside of a SuperTrapp IDS is supposed to look like. I got mine used.

You can get it from Super Trapp

The packing is in a case and it is part # 400-1717, cost $39.00.

From ST customer service, Al can get the shoe for the rear mount, that has also been superceeded recently

Al at American Sport Bike has the repack kits for the IDS.
I have one in mine right now.

"I don't know what the inside of a SuperTrapp IDS is supposed to look like. I got mine used."

I got a SuperTrapp muffler when they first came out (in the mid-70's for a dirtbike) and that particular muffler did have fiberglass packing in it which needed to be replaced when it eventually disintegrated.
