Well this is my first post, so I guess I will start with a picture of my bike. This is a picture of the diamond plate piece which is bolted under the tail. The picture might not show it, but it is VERY shiny and VERY cool looking.

That bike looks pretty nice with the diamond plate. Did you cut and install it yourself?

only problem is, your rear tire will rub against the undertail if you're riding 2-up!

Adjusted the shock preload and never had a problem with it hitting the tire when riding with a passenger. Sure would make a good brake if it did though! I also don't use any of the rear plastic, so that must give it another inch of clearance at least.

I don't even remember what the stock one looked like, did it have an indent for the tire to go into or something?

Stock has a generous indent for the tire. BTW, where is your licence plate?

The license plate goes right under the tail light. I had to take it off to drill new holes because the new Wisconsin license plates are smaller than the old ones were.

I'm finally getting around to posting some "work in progress" pictures of my S1WL restoration.

I bought the frame, bodywork & rims from a "for sale" posting in BWB. The tank got lost in transit so I had to get a used tank. The donor motor came from one of my S3T's (yes, I had two of them). I hoping to have it on the road sometime by the middle of next week. I'll post some completed pictures when its done.

Empty Frame:

Beginning Motor Installation:

Powdercoated Front Isolator:

Fresh Tank:

Powdercoated Parts (Crossroads race bars, S1 dash, Banke frame brace, Handlebar mount, Front isolator):

Dash installed:

I'm hoping to get the rear wheel installed and front wiring completed tonight. More pictures to follow.

If I may make a suggestion...

Get one of the 99+ swingarms and powdercoat it white. I think it would complete the package nicely.

Jeff,

I actually have a spare pre-99 swingarm in the garage. I thought it would be too much white. After putting on the swingarm not once, not twice but THREE times, it's not high on my list of things to do again anytime soon. It's on the plate as a posibility next winter. Right now, I just want to ride it!!!
