here is my original post: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show .cgi?tpc=20164&post=2072859#POST2072859 i have done everything that EZ has told me and i have experience working on cars, but this is confusing to me. It will idle indefinately, but as soon as i twist the throttle she stalls. here is what ive done so far; shift pawl adj, clutch adj, primary adj, a/f mix adjusted to 2.5 out, cleaned the carb (but i don't have an air compressor so i used a can of carb cleaner to put presure through all the ports and the all were clear) new intake boot, new spark plug, new diaphragm spring, disabled the k/s sensor, disabled clutch safety, shimmed the needle, the needle jet/guide is installed correctly, ive tried running with 175, 170, 48, and 42 jets none of them allowed me to go rev the engine. anyone have any thing else for me to try? |

Your issue may be electrical rather than fuel mix. Got a automotive timing light? See if your spark vanishes at higher rpm; if it does check the cam position sensor for a burnt smell. Visually inspect it, too, while you're in there. They sometimes fail and keep kind of working. Symptoms are like a points-actuated car with nearly no point gap. |

Check float bowl air vent passage for blockage too. |

See the other nearby post about a Blast not running above idle. His needle jet had fallen out. Could that be your issue, too? |
