Personal Quote: | A day on which I have felt neither pain nor joy is a day I can not be sure I have lived. |

Performance Mods!: | M2 module and coil, drag specialties cam position sensor, Mikuni 40mm carburetor, rear shock modified to lower ride height. |
Problems/Miles (Please be specific): | O2 sensor position faulty at purchase; new head pipe fixed it. Injector clogged at 20K; replaced. TPS sensor had issues at 30K and up. Cam Position Sensor failed intermittently for years. Stator wire harness cut by cam cover and poorly repaired at factory; fully failed at 25K miles; replaced. |
Other Mods/Misc/Customization.: | Soldered wire-to-wire connections to replace Deutsch connector to module, Interstate high-amperage battery. |
Favorite Rides (Roads and Routes): | Coastal California, North Carolina mountains, Florida cattle country, Wisconsin lakes and farmland. |
Why I do/don't ride a Buell: | The combination of comfort and performance can't be beat. There are faster rides and more cushy rides, but no better blend. |
How can Buell improve their motorcycles?: | Offer more user friendly service options for fuel injection, make ECMSpy a standard accessory. |
Life History/Philosophy: | It is better to be old and healthy than young and sick. I've tried both. Live every day as if it might be your last, because it might be. Stay sober so you can remember where you've been and what you've done. |
Top speed on 2 wheels (mph): | 150 mph; Norton 830 in 1974 |
Preferred engine oil (brand/grade): | Mobil 1 20W50 synthetic |
