has anyone ever tried to mount a yosh exhaust on an XB? Possibly an oval like the Jardine or the tri-oval? Just wondering |

That looks really cool, but slightly homemade. Not a fan of CF either, but I like the basic idea behind it! ~SM |

What they really look like to me is a couple of aftermarket Ducati mufflers. This bike was at Homecoming last year at Road America. The owner was nowhere to be found. Jerseyguy, The Drummer looks sweet but I like the look of my SS better |

With pipes like the ones above i dont think you would have to wait too long for the tire to get warm, |

Wouldn't the exhaust over-heat the tire? |

I'd hate to think what would happen to these cool looking carbon fiber mufflers once they hit pavement! My Scg sits a little too low to the ground for me to drop this much dough on a carbon fiber muffler. |

HOw are people damaging mufflers on there XBs? I've come down super hard from a wheelie gone to high using the rear brake and I have yet to even scrape the chin spoiler on my 12R. |

Remember that the Scg sits a couple of inches lower than a normal Lightning. I scraped my muffler once when I hit a deep valley in a road that I could not see because it was in the shade. It wasn't a pothole or anything, it was just the way the road was. I'm assuming it may have sunk over time and created this hard "hit". |

I scraped once over a speed breaker, just a tiny dent like a door ding. I was actually a little concerned about damaging the muffler when I bought the bike due to it's exposed position, but I've gone 7k+ miles and only had one minor event. IIRC the Scg is only 1" lower in the suspension...and 1" lower in the seat. I could be wrong. |
