Mystery oil leak, sometime the exhaust would be covered in oil other time it not. When under warranty my dealer of course could find nothing. The leak finally got worse and I followed the wet oil up to the oil vent line (aft of the timing cover, behind the sprocket cover). It was less then finger tight.

I tried teflon tape but i put in one backwards, as always, so it just came off. oh well, it tight now.

It seems my bike has a slight oil leak out of the rear tube that goes into the oil cooler. It doesn't seem to be enough to account for eating about a quart of Syn3 in 1,500 miles or so. Maybe I should check this connection, but It doesn't look like oil is leaking out of anywhere else.
