Man, I just saw the upcoming "NIGHTSTER" in Motorcyclist. That is one good looking bike. I hate riding cruisers, but this thing is still sucking me in. It's pretty much one seat, two wheels, and a 1200 Sportster engine. Fork gators are a killer touch. |

I hate to say it, But the bike is bad ass. I've seen them in a few of the colors and they are definatly a sweet looking ride. Rumors from the local HD shop is look for a Screamin Eagle Sportser in the future |

Been over to the local dealer to have a look at the Nightster. Seems they are flyin' out the door. Looks quite nice. The one I saw had forward controls put on it and that awesome black/orange paint combo. Tasty... Wish I had room for more 2 wheelers!(and a bit more $$$ too!) The price isn't too bad either! Just another $.02 Kaveman

That is one of the sickest cruisers I have ever seen! The orange and black combo looks amazing! That is one of the first cruisers I've seen that I'd actually own. Looks good!!! |

The horse power is right there too, I looked at one last week at Superstition HD in Apache Junction, I think it was like 9500$ but cant remember for sure. It was ONE GOOD LOOKING BIKE. One of the FEW i'd trade the 12R for... |

The Nighster is just awesome. I love it and this coming from a guy who hated Harleys 3 or 4 years ago. I just love small bad lookign bikes like this. The Sportster "dirt tracker" that is supposed to be a Europe only model is just as awesome. If I didn't have a payment on my Buell I might think about buying this. And the seat height is a staggering 25 or 26 inches low which is perfect for somebody who's short like I am - 5'7". |

best thing about this bike it that its closed-loop. Which means you can change the exhaust and never have to do anything else like Ecm, filter, TPS reset.. change and Ride!! |

I sat on an orange one at Liberty HD. It is a real nice bike. It is not that small either. I am 6ft and felt that I fit on it well. |

They look great in person (can you say "in person" about a bike?). That and the Nightrod Special are making me consider the cruiser format, although these bikes aren't your run-of-the-mill chromed land yachts. I don't care for the image and lifestyle Harley corporate has created for itself, but these bikes are beautiful. Well done, HD. |

I like it, but it's just a paint and doo-dad special. Some of the doo-dads are nice, though... like the turn signals that allow the elimination of a conventional tail light... and those fork gaiters. |

Best combo of doo-dads I've seen on a HD yet, at least to my eyes. I agree though, two engines, three frames, a butt load of handlebars, seats, wheels, and fenders make about 20 models. I really think this one looks bitch'n, though. |

I didn't like how it sat. Control's mostly. I'm 6'3" Would need the more forward controls. I felt like I looked like the "Grape Ape" sitting on it. Too bad, cause I think that bike is sh!t hot looking. |

Nice looking ride. HD has good styling. But after 20 years of HD (883 and big-twin) I sold the FL last year and have no interest in going back. XB9S is about as good as it gets (for me). |

I like the dark green. With some black pipes, that would be one sweet ride. |

Here is my "Nightster". I did this about a year before the Nightster came out. I love my black pipes, and I think I have cooler levers.

I like the XR1200 better. The Nightster looks a bit hump-backed. XR1200 (for comparison)

I delivered a Nightster to a customer's house last week. We raced tuned it with a stage 1 and a new Rhinehardt 2 into 1, it made 77 rwhp on our dyno. Ran real strong but the bike is short on ground clearance. Great second bike but very limited versatility. Looks are very sharp, a real head turner...maybe Harley is finally entering the very lucrative Bobber/Choppoer market?? With 8 models not returning for 2008 it could be a very exiting line for next year? |

All for looks. Not much for function. A real Harley! They know what's important to their customers. |

Hal's had this one. I like the old school military look to it, but I'd still stick with a Buell

Put a Betty Page girl in a Martini Glass with some Von Dutch gold dry brush, black thunder header.... damn tempting. still waiting on the new XR1200 before I add another sporty to the garage. My retro 57 will get jealous.

My wife recently gave me her 03 sportster sport. I had been ridding the uly on the sand and mud roads in the pines but the tires left a lot to be desired so I decided to slap some dot knobs on the sporty and have some fun, what the hell...

Saw the Nightster back in Feb at a show. Sat on it. It is the most comfortable Sporty I think. And it's not that bad looking as is. But, I'd still modify the heII out of it. The holey parts are cool, but it could always use more. And black pipes! SCREW IT!!! EVERYTHING BLACK!! |

So if a Sportster is commonly referred to as a "Sporty", would that make the Nightster a "Nightie"??? |
