LOL! Ft_bstrd has been shopping at my dealership! They have a big rack of women's panties and nighties! But, as a true gentleman, I make sure to offer my help to the ladies if they need an opinion on how they would look in them! ;) Just doin' my part! Right?

Well said Bumblebee! You should hear the crap I get when I show up to the H.O.G. meeting on my Buell! Sometimes I have to ride it just to drive 'em crazy! The old guys hate it! The younger guys think it's weird! And this from the same group of guys who were talking about trying to welcome in new Buell owners now that there are no local B.R.A.G. chapters. Did I miss something? I don't get it!?!?!?!

There are now 4 Hardly Davidson dealerships within 1hr of where I live. Only one of them has Buells. And at that dealership this weekend they had a whopping 5 Buells. That's the most I've ever seen there.

OK, gonna try this.
So here is what I ride on those lazy days. . .

The pic is small, but it's the only way I could get it to upload.

As for my Buell, it was a stock '03 blue XB9r, you've seen 'em. I'll post a pick once the bodywork has been completed, the paint will match the Harley.

Yeah, I'd love to have a Sportster to deck out... probably a good thing I don't though. I blow enough money on the Buell as it is! Even so, just having access to all those extra goodies would be a blast!

Hey for you guys in Virginia I thought I would just let you know that last year Shenandoah HD wasn't any better. I haven't been in the store since I bought my wife a gift certificate for HD stuff at Christmas(she has a Sportster). Then they had 1 Blast on the floor and that was all!! Yes they had a FEW Buell things on one wall however that was all. For VA I think that Roanoke probably has the best, I just haven't gotten there to see it yet. There was a store in VA Beach that wasn't to bad, they had some used older Buells for sale on the floor as well as new ones last summer. I only get by there once a year for the family vacation.

Cycleaddict, I forgot all about the Poe's thing last Sunday. Guess I'll have to make sure to remember for next time.

Xbduck, I hadn't heard anything about Roanoke other than I think they actually have a BRAG chapter there. I've heard some good feedback about the VA Beach dealership though.

If I hear (read) you guys here it looks like alot of dealers treat Buell as the step-daughter. Here in the Europe its a bit different. My dealer is an official multibrand dealer and has these brands in store:
BUELL
HARLEY-DAVIDSON
HONDA
KAWASAKI
MOTO GUZZI
PIAGGIO
SUZUKI
TRIUMPH
YAMAHA

American dealers that don't support american bikes, weird!

Galloper - That sounds like the Harley dealer in Yakima Washington! Owen's Harley-Davidson, Yamaha, Suzuki, KTM, Polaris. That's hardcore biker right there!

What are they going to do when Buell starts selling Dirt Bikes?? I am trying to get a separate building for just the Buell product, and maybe a set of test hoopdees for the new off roaders when they hit. : D Get on with the bendy and the dirty.

Nothing. Harley has shown minimal service and support across the country for their current lineup. Why would I give them more money? Sorry, it's not that I dislike my bike but that I dislike my dealerships. Harley/Buell will get no more of my money even if it's a product that I really want. I'd settle for less bike in return for better support and service.....and just so folks know, it's not Buell that I'm bitching about but Harley. I've had more problems with the local dealership than any other dealership I've dealt with (I've owned 4 other bikes over the years (Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki and Yamaha). I should not have to repeatedly tell a dealership that my bearings were recalled and finally have to call Buell directly to get them to deal with the dealership. I should not have to write the owner of the dealership after having screw ups happen in parts, clothing and service. Yes, I'm talking about the dealership that held that chili party at the start of this thread.......

......of course, given their lack of support for Buell's, I'd never be able to buy a dirt bike there anyway.

Thats too bad Pcmodeler. I know what you are saying about dealers and lack of service. But like I've said before, just go to a different dealer. I have 3 close to me, one treats me like s**t, one treats me like a relative of the owner, and the other treats me like a million dollar customer. There are too many dealers out there to keep going to the one who treated you like crap. Try the one across town. I sometimes drive the 40 miles to a different dealer just to be treated better. Make a ride out of it, and the one who treat you right becomes a destination, not a dealer.

It's much easier to find a crappy dealer than a good one.

Regardless of product. Period.

That's the problem Terribletim. You shouldn't need to drive 40 miles (none of us should). Given the number of Harley dealers in Richmond, I should be able to go to any one of them. I've gone to ONE of the local Honda dealerships and the techs there crawl all over my bike (two of them own Buells), I go to one of the Harley dealerships (10 minutes from my house) and the techs there crawl all over my bike and tell me they wished they carried Buell but they don't have the floor space (despite a huge HOG meeting room in the lower level). My closest competent dealership (from speaking with others) is well over 100 miles away. That means a 200 mile round trip IF I can get my bike serviced when I take it. Otherwise it's a 400 mile round trip to pick it back up after service. This is why I've learned to do most of my own work, however, TPS resets, etc. and I'm left out in the cold.

The reality is that most folks on this board don't have a second dealer that they can go too.
