There are no big Buell dealers near me, but the open houses they have do try to push them a little - at least not hide them. My dealer currently has maybe 6 on the floor, plus mine in the back waiting for delivery, plus a second Blast in the back. The other dealer near me has 3 or 4 and that's it.

Paradise HD here in the Portland OR area had a small Buell gear area, couldn't find it the other day.

They did have 8 shiny new Buells for sale proudly displayed at the main entrance, (or just left out in the rain depending on how you look at it).

I will say that Stone Mountain is good about having a nice selection and having them right at the front of the store. You can't walk in without seeing them and all the Buell apparel. Another dealer in the ATL area called Killer Creek dropped Buell to sell Aprilias. ???? WTF? Figures the dealer and staff and seem to be worthless.

Appleton HD/Buell in Clarksville, TN displays the only 'Bolt on the floor down the hallway in front of the women's restroom.

Funny, though, the pink 883 was out on the floor.

I know you guys are talking about Colonial Harley. I don't even waste my time there. They've screwed up service work on my bike, screwed up on parts and screwed up in clothing/accessories. I showed up once to get my free Buell cap and they said they weren't participating because they still had left over sling bags from the last event. They weren't willing to give me one of those instead but they were willing to try and sell me a Buell.......jerks. That dealership bothers the hell out of me.

I was going to go to the Chili event though (but only because I like Chili), and was event planning to ride, but I had another event to go to. It's been well over a year since I last went there and my bike was close to stock with the exception of a Jardine and race ECM. Wonder what they'd say now if I showed up?

I didn't know about that Cycleaddict. I'll have to do that. Is that a year round thing or will it be starting back up at a certain point? Is there a certain time it starts?

I've actually just made another change on mine since the photo was taken. I just finished converting over to the low suspension last week. Haven't even finished putting it all back together yet as I'm thinking of installing my fiberglass body kit at this point, even though it isn't painted yet. Maybe then I'll have to drive it down to Colonial. What bothers me so much about them is that the last time I took it down (which was actually a previous chili event) they seemed generally interested in the bike (I had state inspection done). When the tech fired it up, he and a customer standing by (that was a Buell owner as well) loved the sound of it with the Jardine. The tech's face lit up with that same grin us Buell owners get when we hear an aftermarket exhaust on our Buell for the first time. Just wish that enthusiasm had translated into decent service. I actually had to call Buell and get them to force Colonial to replace my bearings (after asking them to do it three times and being told it wasn't part of the recall). I've since started taking it to Richmond Harley for inspections. The techs there have stated to me several times that they wish they carried Buell but that they simply don't have the space on the showroom floor. Well, if Harley shops would devote less space to clothing and more to bikes...........

Want to see some angry R.U.B.'s ? Bring in a wolf pack of 20- or so foreign crotch rockets, every week to "their" dealership. :P Not my fault the chrome crew cant hang. Next time in Silverdale Wa come down and check us out! We are in storm fronts and on the national Buell Owners page too. Waiting for accounting to cut the sponsorship check : |

Buells are the first thing you see @ both Frederick HD (MD) and Gettysburg HD (PA). I'm a lucky guy to have two dealerships nearby supporting the brand.

I do my own work (which so far hasn't been much (replace broken mirrors, levers and foot pegs, tune ups & tire changes) so I cannot comment on service. I bet you'd hear both good and bad on either dealership. I purchased 95% of my parts from DaveS, so I can't really comment on that either.

The newest dealership in MD - Old Glory HD (Laurel) promises to be a big Buell supporter, the owner appears to be enthusiastic about supporting the local Buell owners. Let's see, time will tell, Old Glory HD is but a few weeks old and they have not one piece of Buell apparel or merchandise. I'm sure once they get on a regular delivery schedule that will change.

Bumpus HD in Murfreesboro almost always has them at the front door! You have to walk past them to get to the dressers.

The "smart" kids are always in the front of the class with the retarded kids in the back! ;)

Golden Gate in Novato CA usually has an o6 Uly sitting outside the door with a "ride me" sign on it : )

Their other shop in Corte Madera usually has a couple Buells sitting among the HDs like one big happy family.

Dudley Perkins in San Francisco... Lets just say I had to look around for about 10 minutes before I finally caught sight of one hiding in a corner.
I hate to admit that I got my bike from them but at the time they were the only shop that had what I wanted in stock : (

I know now that if I can ever afford another Buell I'll go to Golden Gate. If they don't have what I want on the floor I will order it & wait for its arrival rather than go back to Dudley's. They (Dudley's))are aces when it comes to HDs and once upon a time were into Buells but that era is past tense now.

On the flip side, they did loan me the owner's Fatboy for a week while some warranty work was being done. I remember when I brought the hog back, one of their service guys tried to convince me that a good rider on a Fatboy could best a Buell in the twisties. Yeah Right!

I'll give Jim&Jims a looksee when I'm up that way again.

Twisty roads and family are all that keep me here in West Marin.
It's bloody expensive to live here. At least for a lowly paver like me.

But then there's all those miles of twisty roads in any direction (except west unless the bike floats : )) that make me feel blessed to live here and I do what I gotta do to stay here.

A not so vicious circle but a circle none the less : )

Bailey's HD-Buell in Fort Wayne, Indiana has moved their selection of Buells from the middle of the floor to the front door (left side)! Mr. Bailey is a stand up man and actually likes his Buells.

Hey, wait a minute? I have a Harley! Does that mean I'm not a real biker? Should I look "surly"? LOL, trust me, if you saw my Harley, you wouldn't look mad riding it! I gotta figure out how to put a pic on here.

CityxSlicker -
Silverdale huh? I'm in Tacoma, so I'm not too far away. How goes the dealership out there? I remember when it first opened as a satellite store. You guys getting heavy into Buells? "My" dealership (Destination) doesn't seem to stock any part unless it bolts on a Sporty as well. So I have to drive clear to Seattle to get parts or wait for them to order them. Do you guys keep stuff in stock? Things like Knee Pucks, the Buell badge that goes on the air box cover, the Firebolt stickers for the tail, etc. Those are just a few things I need to buy right now, and I hate ordering! Good to hear one of you is that close to me! : )

P.S. - how do you put a pic on here?

At the very bottom of the area where you post a message hit the upload attachment button. It's right next to the preview/post message button. A pop up screen opens. Hit the browse button to find the image on your computer.

Tim,

Make sure your image is 70K or less or it won't load.

I understand limited space on a store floor. I understand that the profit margins on clothing far exceed those of bikes.

What I don't understand is religating Buells (in a military town with wall to wall military guys who prefer sport bikes) to a back corner.

At Appleton, the Buells were by the bathrooms. What item were they sacrificed for in order to market? What was a higher priority and was in greater demand (in a military town, mind you)?

A three bike wide display of WOMEN'S PANTIES!!!!!!!!

I shyte you not! I couldn't believe it!
