Just curious to see what everyone rides....chime in with what you ride and satisfaction with your choice. I'll start. '06 XB9SX. Picking up tomorrow so no feedback on satisfaction yet, although I have great expectations!

06 XB9SX as well, and just like you, I can't give any ratings because it delivers tomorrow! I too have big expectations.

'03 XB9S and a Blast!
More fun than a tarp and a can of Crisco!

I'll get more bikes, but not getting rid of these ones!

How clever you are:

In time, the XB9S will be seen as the quintessential Buell from the fun per mile point of view.
By the greatest possible coincidence, I just happen to have one myself. Got 10,500 miles on it, and still love it.
The big problem with these little sweethearts is that since virtually nothing goes wrong, and there is very little scheduled maintenance, there is nothing to do but modify the little beastie.
I have made about 30 little mods to mine, and I can't stop thinking about new ones.

S or Ss - The jury's still out for me having owned both.

Have a 12R and am loving it! I have put about 6k miles on it since I bought it in March. I am also seriously considering picking up a used S model (either 9 or 12) for those days I'm feeling extra hooliganistic and anti-social......

05' XB12S...more fun then a bowl of hunny at a lesbian cat fight.

I never thought this bike would be so much fun it is every thing that I could have asked for and then some. And I agree with Gentleman_jon I just keep finding more and more little things to make her better and better.

05 XB9SX- great bike, minor electrical issues, very little wind/rain protection, gets tons of looks and questions. 10K miles so far

Interesting question. Currently assembling the parts for XB-S to XB-R conversion (whole or part); hard to choose between the configurations... probably best (and cheapest!) to own one example of each.

I've had both an 12S and an 9R. I prefer the R although they are both great. Perfection for me would be an R with fully adjustable ergos. Go Buell!

I have recently purchased the XB12SS, I would have strongly considered the R, if it were available in a long, but it isn't, so I didn't. I only have a few hundred miles, but love it so far...

I will probably be getting a 12cg, cause I'm inseam challenged...But I also prefer the look the S...The front of the R looks almost like a after thought.

2004 XB9S, bought it used.

Best bike I've owned, so far; 9000 miles on it, 6000 of those are mine.

Good luck,
Bill

I have an '02 Ultra and an '03 XB9S currently running. Over 11k on the Buell. I have only one complaint about the Buell; It talks to me. Yup! It keeps saying "c'mon, do it. DO IT!!" the whole time it's running. Out of the 53 bikes in my past, none even come close to the level of pure fun that the Buell gives me.

12R- clip ons allow better feedback from the front end and the fairing provides better wind protection. Tucking in to dodge the weather just feels natural on this bike.

That being said- I was torn between the S and R for a while. An S with lower handlebars would be a riot.

06 XB12R Only 500 miles, race exhaust. Love it.

I took my V-Rod out yesterday because I haven't ridden it since I bought the Buell. I was surprised at how quite the V-rod was. And that has the Screaming Eagle kit on it.
