Ok, the day I purchase my Buell I plan to do the work for it also. I was wondering if by doing the work for the most part, oil changes and whatnot, will it void the warrenty of the bike? I won't be doing warrenty items but a freaking oil change should be able to be done by me and when the warrenty's over everything else.

Surely if you use a recognised brand of good quality oil it should meet/exceed any international standards ? Therefore should'nt interfere with any warranty issues. I would use an OE oil-filter aswell just to be double sure.

Cataract2, read your warranty/owners manual and it will tell you that if you should choose to do the maintenance yourself you MUST keep receipts, etc. to prove it. I have all of my receipts and on them I write what things were done, what page of the service manual is my reference, and on what date and keep them in a binder in chronological order...........Odie
