Well, i cant get the video to upload for some reason. Its probably my poopy hotel wi fi. Anyways, I only drive it in the morning about 12 miles round trip. I wouldnt drive it at all if I had another vehicle. Do your worst guys, i know I know. Tires and oil, two most important things on a bike. But, I am a welding school student that is DEAD BROKE. Now I call my bike "THE PRAYER MACHINE" Because you are praying the whole time your riding it!! haha sux Justun |

Is that from normal riding or have you been doing burnouts? Thats horrible. If you don't do burnouts then I would most definitely switch brands. btw what brand of tire is that? inquiring minds want to know. |

Don't feel bad, I had a Conti Road Attack do the same thing. Looked fine (albeit very table-topped) on the trip to work. Got home and it looked almost as bad as yours. Once they start to go, they go quickly. There's practically NO rubber underneath the wear bars. And I've never done a burnout in my life. On the up side, you should be all set for snow and ice! ~SM (Message edited by Swordsman on December 29, 2010) |

That's fine. You have a good 2-3k left on it. When you start seeing sparks, that's a good time to start looking for a new tire. |

Kinda looks like an overinflated Corsa 3. Edit; You're riding on borrowed time with that tire. Personally, I'd find a different way to get around, carpool, walk, whatever. I wouldn't ride on that tire at all. (Message edited by d_adams on December 29, 2010) |

If you had that tire off of the rim, you would see how little is left there. Push on it with your thumb and you will feel how thin that is! Take the bus! that tire will kill you. |

That appears to be the stock Pirelli. I'd get a new one. If it was on a car I'd feel better chancing it. With only being on two wheels I'd take Nat's advise and take the bus. The bus is much cheaper than funeral costs buddy! |

Just run a few layers of duct tape down the center - you'll be good as gold. |

Thanks guys. The ONLY place I ride that bike is the one place I cant get a ride to. I have to go to the methadone clinic every morning, I have to go at 5:30AM because of my class schedule. I dont have a damn job. I just moved to jax fl to finish welding school. My family is helping me right now, but they are far far from rich. If i didnt have to pay for liquid handcuffs every freaking day I wouldnt be in this situation. Then again, since ive been on methadone I went from homeless no vehicle to at least having a bike and my family let me back in there life. Im also on a path to a good career. I finish school in may, then I will probably go union or something. Havent figured it out just yet. What ever I do, it will never involve using heroin EVER AGAIN. I will deal with methadone for the rest of my life before I go back to dope man. Justun |

I have a rear tire I'll give as well its used but not at the wear bars yet. shipping only UPS will be at your feet next day. There is a few guys in Jax around. To save another buck take the rear tire off the bike. Then to the bike shop any shop preferred. This will save a few bucks as well. Hold your head high don't worry about the past stay focused and change your crowd. It's not going to be easy but doable. stay clean!!! Mike |

If you're near Orlando, maybe take it to MMI and have one of the students put it on. We used to mount & balance tires there all the time, never charged to do it. The policy may have changed since I went there, but thats the way it used to be. |

wow man. Ive never had people do sumtn like this for me. Ive hustled up about thirteen bucks so far. I dont know how much it will be, but a year ago I got the tire that is on their now from I think buellster and it cost forty bucks for shipping, but that was WITH THE RIM! So I dont think it would be much over 20 bucks, even if it was coming from CA TO FL. You guys are some good natured people. And I cant say thank you enough guys. Please, all involved email me at: discustipated@live.com Thanks again guys, Im not gonna push my faith on anyone, but thank you lord also Justun |

D Adams I was going to say if I was still in Orlando I'd drive up there get the rim and change it for him. Like you I'm out of MMI. They would let us change tires for our ourselves when I was there but not just anyone. Cycle gear in Orlando will change them cheap if you bring in just the wheel. They are on colonial/ s.r. 50. This thread right here is what I love about this forum and riding a Buell. None of the other brands have this kind of comradery. |

HAMMER THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH MAN!! And you can believe that I am going to help someone else. I have always been a FIRM BELIEVER IN KARMA. I am trying to hatch a plan to help someone who is in a bad way this new year. Thanks to everyone man, I can never say thank you enough. If anyone needs help, some welding project you might need some welding rods I get em for free at school so please please please anyone let me know I will do anything I can to repay this site for helping me. This situation right here, is what I think this site is for really. Helping a fellow rider, think that this is just an extension of THE WAVE we give to fellow riders, saying I feel your pain, ive been there myself. THanks guys, just thank you so much... Justun |
