Well I am waiting for a few "I told you so" from some but I bought a tomahawk tire and went to mount it on my bike today.Well its out of round top to bottom, wobbles left to right, and the bead is out of alignment.Whats that equal a tire I paid to have mounted just to remove and buy a good tire and have that tire mounted.I am now returning the tire and have to deal with the shipping back and try to get them to cover my M&B money.NEVER I REPEAT NEVER
BUY A TOMAHAWK TIRE......

mine are great and even ran a recent trackday on them with no issues at all. I have had pilots that came out of round as well. Call them and get a replacement

To each their own but I have yet to have issue with them. That trackday was in 34 degree weather on Pocono east course which is known to be a tad harsh. They stuck great, which actually surprised me a bit due to the cold. Bottom line is buy what you are confident on, the best tires in the world wont do crap for you if you aren't confident in their abilities.

The ONLY problem I have seen with them is that they take a little while to warm up and tend to cool down easily.

I wouldn't give up on them quite so easily. Ask them to send you a new one and try again.

You may have just gotten a bad one. It does happen even to top tier brands.

I've been through quite a few Tomahawks and had one that could not be balanced and they sent me a new one after 1 phone call. We will rip up 2 sets (two bikes) in one weekend and the Tomahawks are perfect for twisty duty in the mountains.

You can get a full set for the same or less than a rear for a name brand.

Huh. Given that they're all supposed to be xrayed and all that other quality control stuff, did you buy it directly from Tomahawk, or somewhere else? I wonder if it could have been damaged in storage or something?
