I don't know but it is a cool looking thing -- not bad for around $300 too (if I'm reading that right -- been a while and my math is suspect too). btw, it isn't hard to spell out the whole word Japanese, and as a side benefit nobody gets offended. You should know that, silly gai-jin! |

Whats up with all the squiggly lines on the page? |

Squiggly lines are probably because your pc doesnt have the Japanese encoding enabled unless you are looking at actual Japanese. Sorry about the "J" word, I dont really think of it as offensive. I forgot you Americans are so sensitive. |

Interesting. It would appear to be made of stainless... which means I'm certainly interested!! |

I question if that's for an XB... what's the bracket for on the front? Still awesome looking though. |

That bracket at the front replaces the "shoe" (that the bandclamp goes through) on stock XB mufflers. I'm inclined to think that the rivets holding that thing together could be problematic. Visions of rattled-apart tuber mufflers are dancing in my head. |

I think I found the maker. They are called Aella. They dont make this anymore, thats what the seller says and it doesnt appear to be on their website anymore. http://www.aella.jp/ I think they sold for $1000+ here so Im sure it will go for more than what its currently at. I think Ill stick with my dreams for a Drummer for now. While searching for the maker I found these Buell fans: http://www.geocities.jp/buell_battlers_rainbow/ind ex.html |

Konichiwa biches! That is pretty cool to see a Japanese club devoted to an American sport bike. Are the tables turning, Hmmmmmmmmmm! (Message edited by echoseven on May 08, 2008) |

Yeah Paul, didn't figure you meant anything negative -- and that is a cool looking pipe but I second the rattle apart worries -- at idle our bikes shake like Edo in a 'quake! Still a cool shape though... |

I am a student of Japanese at best, but this is what I could translate- "It's a Titanium custom muffler for an XB12 or XB 9 - But sorry, the seller won't ship internationally. The price right now is at 25,000 yen, (which is about $250.) Starting price - no bids yet. The seller says: This was removed from an XB-12, it's a Titanium slip-on silencer. It should also fit an XB-9, but I don't know. This is made of titanium and is very light weight. It was on an XB12R, but I think it will also fit an XB-9. It's by Race/Lace and is no longer in production. Over all it's clean, but it has a small scratch that it got while in use. The mounting brackets are included, which is attractive (Japanese you know) It's also got a couple of small dents which are hidden from view when mounted. These are rare, how can you pass this up?" Okay, how did my Japanese translation do? |

That's a pretty neat tube-frame shifter on the Aella homepage, but I couldn't navigate the site to get a better picture. |

I figured it was titanium from the coloring. And, I would have to agree with Jos51700 on the rivets. The Jardine cans have lots of problems with Rivets too. |

It looks really cool and different than all the rest of the muffler options out there. I agree on the rivets . I'd be willing to bet that after you put some miles on it with a 12, some of those rivet would be missing. |

just out of interest it went for 86,000 yen about $U.S 900. I bit pricey for my liking.

I want one -- anyone here think they could use a stock can and fab it into something like this (keeping the 12's valve)? I really like the shape and the right side outlet (away from my left leg when I am stopped at a light)! I do agree, just say no to rivets! |
