I saw the race kit for the XB on the Buell website. Is it out yet? Anyone have it installed? What are the power gains? Any holes in the powerband?
Thanks

Look on 2003 Firebolt thread, it's all there!

Can someone tell me what the race kit muffler sounds like?

Hey Lloyd. Vroom Vroom?
Sorry, I couldn't help myself.

It probably sounds like the race can for the 1200's.
I don't see any way to repack it. Does it open up?
If not, it's most likely a little louder. The dual outlets might reduce the thump a little.(?)

Archer has one on order. If you can wait a while, I might be able to get a sound clip posted somewhere.

I have the race kit installed. For $620 or less, the power gain is DEFINITELY worth it. I just put mine on the dyno Friday, pulling 82.7hp and 66.2 ft/lbs. Was about 70 degrees and humid, if you care to know.

And the muffler sounds INCREDIBLE. It's just as loud as the Pro Series cans for the tube framers. I ride with two M2s with them and an X1 with a Vance and Hines, and I'm just as loud and I think it's a cleaner sound as well.

'ware, though, installing the muffler can be a pain in the ass. Hope you've got a service manual.
