$0.99 solution = ear plugs. As an added bonus, they also thwart irritating wind noise and make it easier to communicate with your passenger at highway speeds.

I'll trade you my stock exhaust for your pro-series if you want, though.

One of the baffles on my Pro-Series pipe has broke loose after 10,000 miles of use. I kept having this annoying rattle, and I just figured out what it is. I wonder if Buell will replace it , or if I should just drill a hole through the pipe and baffle and bolt the baffle in place. I could yank the muffler and have the baffle welded back in, bit then I'd have to worry about the finsh of the pipe in that area.

What do you guys think? Is 10,000 miles good enough for an "off road only" performance muffler, or should I try and have Buell replace it for free?

It couldn't hurt to ask!
Sounds like the Pro Series has outlasted most of the other exhausts.
There is a part # for the muffler only (but I'd probably just use a screw to fix it).

LOL - my Bub has over 12,000! Great exhaust - lightest weight - I got lucky maybe - But no problems so far - When if one of them goes - then its a highly modified Kerker header mated to a 4" universal Super trap 21 discs- should be bullit proof;0) - and easy mounting - following V&H and WB's example. My WB has 6000+ so far, but I'm always having to adjust it to keep vibration to a minimum - lol - the Bub just gets a fresh ceramic coat when it starts looking a a little mottled from repeated cleanings - 1 a week. Still the best exhaust in the world to set off car alarms!

I took a look at the link. It claims "substantial torque & horsepower gains," but I can't find any numbers. Am I missing them or are they not there?

1 3/4 od - same as the Bub or V&H - dyno chart to follow this evening - or sooner if compatable with work comp. - if its as good as the D&D - it would be a very good exhaust still for your basic mods set up.

Ah, Ed - the Vance and hines is 1 5/8, as is the D&D.

This is 1 3/4, 1/8 inch larger, and the same size as the now discontinued White Bros. unit.

those are id - I'm pretty sure which makes them the same as the 1 3/4 od - the WB, Force, old Bub, the unobtainable Wileyco,and the Kerker all have a 1 3/4id. Not raining on your parade - I think its great another mfgr. has decided to make something for the Blast - just pointing out what I know.

Not true - though I wish, that would make things easier - the ones mentioned above all are 1 3/4id - the rest are 1 3/4od. Fact - just rechecked to make sure - just received the dyno chart from them very comparable to the D&D - will have to change format to post - also a bit big - lol - however, looks to be a lot more durable than the D&D as well.

Why didn't you just say you talked to them in the first place?!

Sucks they didn't build it with the 1.75 interior diameter. Of course, 1.625 isn't much smaller. And, unless you're running with head work - it probably doesn't matter.

The important thing is the durability of the silencer.

Lets see that Dyno Chart! DId they send you a better picture of it installed too??

OK - here it is - but first I'd like to say - that was a great 'find' you did - stainless is tight for durability - and there is a quiet muffle option that a lot of folks have been asking for from a performance exhaust - and as you said - unless there is headwork and cams involved - there really is very little performance difference - a couple of ponies - most - so really this becomes a great find, and its nice to see the aftermarket expanding again for the Blast - lol - here's the dyno they emailed me

What type of intake were they running on that dyno run? Is it just me, or does it look like that was on a bike with just the stock intake? I'm wondering because their #'s are 30ish and 27ish... Got rid of the dip (mostly), but that's it. What kind of gain do you think you could see with that exhaust and, oh, I don't know, a stack? Just curious...

I just ordered one of the new Jardine exhausts today. It should come on thursday or friday, but I have to say that Terry at Jardine is excellent! Everyone I contacted was incredibly helpful. $228 total for the pipe and shipping ...not bad in my opinion. I'll be sure to let you guys know all about how it sounds and all that stuff when it comes in. Oh yeah, did anyone ever take their exhaust off and notice how much lighter the bike is with the anchor off? It's craaaazy..

Nice looking and the second litest exhaust I've heard of - Stainless steel - quality stuff! Yeah - I've been going over exhaust specs versus measured reality lately - enough to say your header is the right size for a performance pipe - now my question becomes - so why does the WB and Force exhausts produce better numbers - both use different methods seemingly, yet with simular results other manufactures have only come close to but never matched - its puzzling to me - especially as I strongly suspect - all Blast performance exhausts will measure out at 1 3/4 OD at the final six inches before the can connection - lol - I did some measuring, Ralph did some - I won't steal his work but doing the stock, Bub, and WB - the aftermarket all come up with the same number OD 1 3/4 ( which was brought up at the earliest Blast posts as the ideal OD for a stock Blast - lol) - I'm betting 45/175 jetting - it would be thinner walled being stainless pipe - nice - 6 1/2lbs - the steel can mounting adding the 1/2 lb weight over the Bub uniconstruction, and SS is easy maintenance - enjoy!

Is it a big deal if I run the bike without an exhaust gasket? I don't really see how it could be, but I haven't had time to pick one up and I figure a couple days lightriding without one won't do anything until I can get my paws on one...?

Please don't - save your motor and yourself possible grief and get the cheap part - its the same for any sportster - so just get it and rest easier while you enjoy your ride, don't forget to rejet - 45/175 would be my bet!

I just thought it was really weird because when I took off the stock header there was ...no gasket. unless it was that bit of stringy foil that's stuck around the outlet, but I was under the impression it was a paper gasket or something like that so I was confused, for all I know that foil stuff could be it and I just am not noticing... I thought it odd though.
