6,000 miles. The engine was rebuilt at 5,000 and I have the paperwork on that. The rear tire was replaced at about the same time. I switched to Mobil V-Twin 20W-50 in the engine and trans, installed a Clutchlite X-Soft ramp, adjusted clutch and primary, and repacked the Vance and Hines header. The bike starts and runs great! http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/mcy/1152449994.html

why did the motor need to be rebuilt after only 5000 miles? I just bought a 2002 blast with 8,600 miles on it and now i'm nervous! |

Dont be nervous. Highly unusual for a Blast to need a new engine at that mileage and its usually due to neglect or mistreatment. |
