Alright well, let's have a moratorium on public discussion of the "The Subject". Good for Blake, good for Aaron. Seriously. No good will come of it. But you know, someday earth will be attacked by an alien race of inline four riding super beings, and the only thing that will stand between the earth's total annhilation will be a shotgun confederacy of Blake and Aaron. Putting their differences aside, they will join forces against these slavish and profane invaders and in a final climactic confrontation, Blake and Aaron will defeat Earth's terrible foes. And as the smoke rises from the charred carcass of the alien mothership, these two will stand silent together staring out across the vast wasteland of their battleground...smoking weapons resting on the shoulder...then both will suddenly offer simultaneously, "Buy you a beer?"...Then laughing at stereo sound...and the whole thing...roll the credits...military music... The End. I'm weeping..sniff. OK, Seriously about no more discussion of the subject. It affects EVERYBODY. OUT! Damned Spot! |

I'm with Reg here Blake. Water over the dam, nothing you can do about it. Let it go. You really have no other good choices. Ditto !! |

quote:Peter, You are wonderfully optimistic. I've made too many similar gestures that have been scorned and rejected. Right now, absent any sincere gesture by the other party, I just don't have it in me. My view is that it would be a horribly foolish act.
I can only see that as another cop-out. |

You live your life as you see fit. I'll live mine the way I see fit. It does seem however that to be fair in your assessment, you would hold the same opinion concerning the other party involved. That you do not says much. Or am I mistaken. You've certainly never admonished him repeatedly and publicly as you have me. That is simply unfair. But, as you wish. Whatever happened in Spain with you and Griz? Start a new thread and tell the story please. |

Ummm, Blake. That's because I think you're in the wrong. Thought that argument and then phone call we had, made that clear Re the Alto Turia. Sort of waiting to see how all this pans out. I don't feel much at home here anymore, and I guess I'm waiting to see if this comes good. A lot of people are feeling inclined to take definite sides now, and I'm one of them. Sure wish you'd wrap your pride up and take that flight. I believe that the two of you would benefit, along with a whole lot of others on the sides. Not expecting you'll end up friends again, but you might be able to sort stuff out enough to end the public animosity. My mother used to say to me, "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink". Guess you're just as stubborn as me |

Jon: To answer your question. I refuse to post what I think on that particular subject on this board, out of respect to my friends that are on here. I do, however, have the ZX-14 at the top of my "Next bike" list. |

It's OK, Bigj. I was just joking. But thanks. There's a lot of bikes on my next bike list, but I'm afraid it would be next to impossible to rationalize another right now. Four is enough, or so I'm told. |

Peter, Though I don't strongly disagree with you about being "in the wrong", on account of I have been "in the wrong" on some accounts and I've done all I could to make right. That you see nothing "wrong" on the other side of the issue says a lot. Even so, I would never agree that not "being in the right" is justification for publicly vilifying and maligning another. |

Pete, That's too bad you feel that way. Not really giving the man any recourse but to lie down to your wishes. Can you just let both sides be in disagreement? I think at this point, that is all that can be done. I can see that you're good to have around. I hope you won't deprive others of the experience of discourse with you because of two friends who can't reconcile. Anything could happen overtime. Don't give up. Anything I have said to you over this issue, I hereby retract, unless it was funny or helpful. You're a Dakar competitor aren't you? Like my friend Charlie Rauseo. Charlie has been after me to ride with him and Mike Krynok. I'd like to. This issue is a long Rally for friends on all sides. The terrain is unpredictable and treacherous and the route is unknown until you get your next read. This is not a journey for the impatient or the hot headed, but the patient and seasoned mature. I have certainly changed my perspective on some things through watching this. I remain Blake's friend as you remain Aaron's friend. But I am not involved beyond that. I upbrade Blake or stand him up when I think that's what friendship demands. I hope you are doing the same. Let NO ONE depart from one another due to this breech between TWO people. Keep your heads and you hearts. Play BAAAALLLL!! |
