I'm 16, and my dad bought himself a buell blast 2 years ago. now, he's passed it on to me. The bike has roughly 12,000km on it, and a few days ago, i forgot to check tht the kickstand was completely engaged. i got off the bike, heard a sicking CRUNCH, turned around, and it was on it's side. the turn signal broke and the fuse blew out (fixxed tht, just waiting on parts for the signal) the big issue is tht the bike idles very high. When i pull up to light an put it in neutral, it will idle as if i'm giving it 20% throttle. my dad said since i dropped it, i'm fixxing but. i don't wanna go to a dealer and have them rip me off, as i don't really have tht much spare cash on hand. Any ideas? I have no issue paying for parts, but it's kinda on a "if i need it, then i need it" basis |

Welcome to the Thumper Forum! Check for throttle cable binding, and see if the throttle is moving smoothly. Then check for a carburetor boot leak. Thats it! |

The carb intake manifold - das boot! - it is rubber and when worn or damaged can cause problems - behind carb and before intake manifold. EZ |
